The drama's ending emphasized that they're splitting their time between the capital and Lin'an. When they returned to the Lin'an near the end there was a 2 month time jump where XZ and CY are still at the village's wishing tree and then 5 years later you see them in the military base and XZ said he will send CY back to Lin'an instead of going to battle with him cause she hasn't fought in years, it would've been nice to see her raising their 2 kids in the village the last couple years while XZ probably goes back and forth splitting his time between his duties as regent prince and a dad.
