The anime version follows the novel. The drama is almost *completely different* from the novel & anime.
The *entire story* after they switched body at the beginning is completely different. They didn't switch back. Changheng is a monk and there is none of those supporting roles. The drama was rewritten without involving the author. They only used their main character names and some of settings. DFQC was more evil and like a ruffian and XLH is less naive and more mischievous.
