The male lead’s own highlight was not filmed and his core solo role either fully compressed into group images or given to the supporting roles. Numerous ML's scenes were deleted and the ML has been reshooting the same scenes over and over. Typically in a male-led drama, the ML has more than 70%. The ‘male-led' storyline without a romantic subplot should revolve around the male lead; wherever he goes, that's the main plot/main role.
If fans don't support the cloud booking of peripheral products and TV series, it will really hurt them. The day they posted a statement to cut ties, the fan club and the crew came out immediately. They didn't respond when Wang Hedi safety was a concern.

This is male-centric drama so I would assume very little or one sided romance (if they follow the book there is bromance too). I think the crew adjusted and didn’t film the ‘formal’ wedding + wedding toast. They only kept the wedding atmosphere and candlelight to fry CP. Dream or reality it’s got a lot of backlash. The related topic hashtag is said garnered 5 billion views, while I heard the crew bought hot search for the CP on the 19th and 20th, but the reaction to this CP is lukewarm by passerby. It’s tricky to balance the adaptation innovation and respect for the original work.

They are setting up the villains, which are new added scenes for Xuyun who will add more drama. That may have entailed Wu’s role getting more scenes. We already know for sure he will get more scenes. Wu doesn’t have power to add scenes, it is known through MY’s requirement as a ‘package booking’ if they want Wang Hedi to star in their drama. This is the problem with his agency and has been done with Didi’s past dramas. The ‘pendant actor’ is usually a support role (and may even have a love line), but it is never a minor role. Didi’s fans already expressing opposition of Wu’s role having a love line. Unlike Didi’s movie PAAA, it is more difficult to pack in an actor like Wu in the movie industry, so MY may even prevent Didi to take on other movie roles (MY’s priority was never Dylan. He unexpectedly broke out in his role as DFQC). But it’s a different story with Xianxia genre is easier to packed in their artist as it consider ‘beginners’ genre.
