Even I feel same but I like how it improves each episodes you know. And like you said lacking in which way? I mean there's obviously unanswered some things happening each episodes but pretty sure they will explain in coming episodes I think.

Come and hug me & lie after lie (both 9/10) I literally had hard Time moving on from FOE and it was so fresh that I couldn't rewatch it again it was that good. I saw your watchlist and you missed gem that I still haven't moved on from "Healer"(100/10) I would definitely recommend you, it kinda similar to this but it includes all genres so its worth to watch!!
