Review 10Dance
Oh Kate, thank you so much and yes, I can talk about dancing a lot :) Same -sex couples are very popular in Europe…
I totally know what you mean.. I was 10 years old when I started to dance and they teach us that male dancers are leaders and female dancers are followers and that was a basic rule in dancing. BUT, no one teaches us if we want to be a dance teachers one day, we should know both male and female steps. Me as a guy, cannot teach girls how to be feminine, sexy and on top of everything, how to represent their dance partners as ladies. That’s the catch. Which means that every dancer/competitor learned from the beginning to separate male steps from females and that’s the dancing what we can see everywhere. Don’t get me wrong, I love it and I have danced for many, many years that way, even if my sexuality was different.

But when it comes for m/m and f/f dancing, it is a totally different perspective. Why? The answer is very simple. Every dance has their own characteristics and you have to “act” in certain dance. For example, Samba is a vibrant, rhythmic dance, known for its joyful, energetic, and sensual movements
Cha Cha is cheeky
Rumba is sexy and sensual
Paso Doble is a fight between Matador and a Bull
Jive is funny….

So in every dance you have to bring up the act and the meaning of that dance and with same sex couple is more easy because woman knows what pleases a woman just as a man knows what pleases a man.
Not to forget to mention, in f/f and m/m dancing, both couples are changing steps from male to female. They are not sticking only who is a leader and who is a follower.
Unfortunately being with different sexuality is everywhere but I can freely say, dancing is taking off that kind of barrier, when you dance it does not matter what nationality, sexuality or ethnicity you are :)

I will share this review from the perspective of a former professional dancer and dance instructor, with no spoilers…
Oh Kate, thank you so much and yes, I can talk about dancing a lot :) Same -sex couples are very popular in Europe and slowly but surely it’s spreading around the World, which I am very grateful because dancing can’t recognized differences, sex, color of the skin, ethnicity… When it is about music and dance, you just go with the flow and enjoy the music. And this movie shows exact determination, as you could see the final scene when they went on a dance floor and danced and kissed. Even the director of the movie did not make any “a big thing” about it. It is just simple fabulous, from my perspective
