I just finished watching Part 2 of *My Dearest*, and to be honest, I 100% preferred Part 1. The second part dragged far too much โ to the point where it became hard to stay emotionally invested. Watching the leads reunite and separate again and again just made the story feel repetitive, and I eventually stopped caring about their relationship.
The second male lead was *literally* the worst character ever. He was completely useless and utterly annoying. His presence added nothing of value to the plot, and I honestly dreaded every time he appeared on screen.
Another frustrating point: I really wanted justice for those who betrayed Gil Chae and handed her over to the barbarians. Yet, we never got closure or any real consequences for them. That plotline was just dropped, which felt like a huge missed opportunity.
That said, Iโd still rate Part 2 an **8.5/10**, mostly because of the strong performances and the emotional core that still existed underneath the messier parts of the story.
**My favorite scene?** Without a doubt: when Jang Hyun runs with everything heโs got to save Gil Chae during the hunt with the Qing princess. The way he screams *โGil CHAE!!!โ* โ that was pure magic. So raw and powerful. That moment alone reminded me why I fell in love with the drama in the first place.
It is 10CM, the voice is very obvious ^^And, yes, I think you're right about the music director, but the name…
Yes, it's Nam Hye Sueng, but I wrote Kim Kyung Hee's name too quickly and confused it with lmaoo. Honestly the same, I don't think the intro music is by Kim Kyung Hee but I hope he gets an ost.
Itโs not the length of time thatโs the problem, itโs introducing more drama to an already full plot. The…
Yes, it's just to boost the kdrama's plot and make it look like a potential k-trauma. Don't forget that the FL doesn't really know why the ML came here. I guess she'll find out in future episodes.
When I read the comments I get the impression that they've been watching dramas for two days. Guests who play the role of the ML/FL's ex have always done so in kdramas and 99% of the time they're there for two episodes max and the ML and FL always end up together. The only problem honestly is that I'm literally sick of this kind of loop in kdramas. It's just something you eat all the time in any genre.
I literally love this kdrama. Go min si and Kang Haneul are amazing. I don't have a huge palette for the dramas I've seen Haneul in, apart from Squid Game, but here I honestly adore him.
Fuck if he's telling us it's actually Yoo Yi Na the killer, I'm going to freak out and give the kdrama a 10 and frankly it wouldn't be totally illogical but I honestly don't think so.
I'm pretty sure the ost of the second episode is clearly "10CM" ๐ I also believe the soundtrack producer is "Nam Hye Seung" He's the one who created the soundtracks for Our Beloved Summer, Tell Me That You Love Me, Queen of Tears, Lovestruck in the City, Record of Youth and ITNTBO. So this could mean an Ost from the incredible โKim Kyung Heeโ, one of the best OST singers around.
Shooting of the drama began in October. PJY was still in the army, does that mean the first episode took more than a month to shoot? I don't really know how it shoots, because PJY appears quite quickly.
Quite happy to see actress Jang You Nam again, whom I loved in LND. I have the impression that this kind of actress always plays the role of the mother of ML or FL.
For fuck's sake, the kdrama was already scheduled for 2024, then March 2025 and now June. To think the drama was shot in 1990 ๐๐ญ๐ญ๐. (I'm kidding, but it was definitely shot 2022-23.)
