yes i agree with you, after i finished this drama (in 2021 haha), Kubota and Mei Nagano both of them have very good acting, but for real, Kubota didn't look like high schooler at all. It's a bit weird to see Kubota paired with Mei Nagano, it seem a bit strange moreover im already watch either Kubota or Mei Nagano other drama's, it make's me feel even more weirder because at this drama aired, Mei Nagano still 18 years old and Kubota 29 years old, even i didn't see Kubota and Mei Nagano chemistry in this drama, Mei Nagano and Makenyu will be more right in some way (because Makenyu look younger too right, more proper being MC. i think Mackenyu and Kubota switching place, for me make's the drama look a bit more senseable (in relationship between MC and Heroine). But it is what it is, overall im agree with you're review.
