The poster who commented about Seven's singing was no casual viewer. If I remember right it was whoissilmoy. She is constantly posting data reports and gushing over something in her. She sounds just like you. And that's fine but I only pointed it out as an example of something that I didn't agree with and scrolled by. It was a ridiculous comment because while she sounds decent if prerecorded, she is not going to be winning any awards for singing. But you and others don't like anyone to say they were not thrilled with ABAY and you should stop attacking people who don't gush like you do. There is only a small group who keep posting data reports making it sound as if ABAY was the best drama ever and it is not. It might be #1 in urban tv dramas but this is for Q3 and there has not been anything much out there for Q3. Get real! It is good that you love it but with you I don't know because you give all Xu Kai's dramas ratings of 10. And they are not all 10s. But you are free to love what you want and support what you want but you should stop mocking anyone who doesn't like ABAY as much as you. People don't need to give you evidence of why they don't like ABAY. Who are you? The judge of this forum? You act like you are paid to promote the drama. You said you don't have anything against OFL but think it is an "insult" for kdramadiet to put these dramas together. And you are still saying you are not picking a fight? You keep saying people are free to comment in here as long as they are respectful. Your response to kdramadiet was not friendly. I agree with her that your comment was not just voicing your opinion. You need to accept that not everyone is loving this drama and accept some criticism. Some of the gushing comments are quite ridiculous. But okay then. You are entitled to gush and love this drama and even say Seven sings like a professional like a" fine tuned instrument." I don't know who said that but I scrolled by. She couldn't even sing at the event the reporters asked her to sing some lines from the OST. If it is not prerecorded she was uncomfortable and sounded so bad that I felt embarrassed for her. But you are all free to gush. But stop attacking other who don't agree with you.

What is the big deal if she compared ABAY to OFL? It is her opinion. This has been the problem with this forum. Some love to gush all day long about how great ABAY is and constantly posting data reports saying ABAY is #1 sometimes not mentioning it is #1 for Q3 in urban dramas only. There has also not been much in modern dramas in the tv category for Q3. Now someone comes along and compares the way she shes ABAY to OFL and there is this sense of outrage from you and others. @ kdramadiet is just voicing her own response to both dramas. It seems to me several members are attacking her.

Take a look in the mirror. It was your rudeness to others who do not agree with your opinion that made me finally decide to comment. Your answer to anyone who does not agree with you is " nobody asked for your opinion." People are free to comment and time and time again you tell anyone who responds to your comments that you were not talking to them and how dare they interfere in your conversation. In the meantime, you attack anyone who says they don't like the drama or struggling to finish it, or they don't feel the chemistry. I don't feel this "hot" chemistry people in here keep gushing over and I didn't say anything for the longest while. I kept putting ABAY on hold, then tried to watch some more and tried again. But I have seen others say it and you always mock them as being blind or you say something is wrong with them. You might feel the chemistry but if others criticize it, you do not hesitate to give your opinions in your normal outraged manner. Take a look at yourself. People are free to comment negative or positive opinions. I feel ABAY is boring in the business aspect and the cp lacks chemistry. Seven Tan in romance is cringy and awkward, and I am not the only person with this opinion. All these awards mean nothing to me. There are so many different categories and not even sure these are prestigious. I am sure she is a talented actress but her romance roles lack chemistry and she needs to stop doing them if she feels uncomfortable. She should stick with family dramas or comedy because watching her in romance is frustrating and annoying. It seems to me Xu Kai gets much more attention in terms of rankings for ABAY. He is ranked #1 for Han Ting's popularity in the URBAN TV DRAMA category and #8 in the general category but I don't think I have seen Seven Tan in the top 10 of anything for ABAY. In any event I find her cringy in romance or uncomfortable to watch. This could have been better with a much more appealing actress. I doubt ABAY would have been popular without Xu Kai. Let's just agree to disagree and I don't read your list of awards. You sound like a paid promotion.

Oh my goodness. I am only going to respond to this one comment and will be done with this. I don't know anything about fake accounts lowering ratings as it happens to all dramas. I don't know about number of ratings exceeding number of viewers. How is that possible? You should accept that not everyone liked ABAY and perhaps the rating dropped for that reason. Wasn't it at 7.8 at one point then went up to 8.2 at the end? Then it dropped to 8.1. Big deal. I have seen dramas I loved drop from 8.7 to 8.2 due to the ending or one thing viewers did not like. I saw someone comment that there are bots but that is ridiculous. Who cares enough to have bots downrate a drama on MDL?
It is my opinion based on comments on ABAY and my own sentiments that Xu Kai was the biggest draw and from what I saw of rankings, it is Han Ting who is in the top ten and not JiXing. I didn't like the FL's character or her acting. I was more frustrated than anything watching her. Xu Kai was certainly the reason I tried watching this until I had to drop it out of boredom and annoyance. I found it boring in many ways including the business aspect. The plot was annoying. It starts with the FL wanting to buy a house for her future with her boyfriend. Then when he proposes, she asks him to wait for her to be ready and then she would propose. It made no sense. Why plan to buy a house together and not say yes when the guy proposes? Then they get engaged and when he breaks up with her, her reaction was to storm his apartment making a mess of his closet and furniture while she searches for signs of infidelity. Then he gets married to her best friend and she attends with Han Tin. Why was she sitting a the table in that big coat? But even more annoying was the look on her face as she watched the ceremony while Han Tin looked at her with a look of what? Pity? Adoration? I don't know. That scene was cringy and ridiculous. Where did this drama show the build up where we could see why Han Ting would fall in love with JiXing? And it wasn't just about the characters. I also did not find the chemistry as great as some did. Not at all. And I am not the only one based on comments in the reviews. I don't know how you can say I am the only person who has complained about the FL as there have been many complaints in the reviews. I think people avoid making any negative comments in this forum. I didn't comment until I finally had enough when I saw someone being attacked for saying she was struggling to continue. I don't care about the awards this actress has received for tv dramas. She is lacking when it comes to romance. She lacks a certain appeal and looks uncomfortable when it comes to skinship. Maybe she is a shy person.



In addition, the styling of her character was laughable. There was a scene where she came out in an outfit and looked at Han Tin for approval and he looked at her and told her she looked pretty or maybe he said gorgeous. Her outfit made her look like a matron. In this case it was not believable. Her haircut was not complimentary. The name of the drama is As Beautiful As You. They should have styled her in a manner that made her look at least pretty. Yes. visuals and styling affects the vibe. It was frustrating to watch this but good for ABAY for being # in URBAN TV DRAMAS for Q3. Now I am not sure though if it is #1 for all URBAN TV DRAMAS since the start of the year or Q3. But whatever it is, good for them but this drama was big disappointment for me.

I said the drama was a "flop for me" and for many others because of the FL. I did not say it was a flop. It got higher viewership because of Xu Kai. Xu Kai's character was #8 overall and #1 for Urban Dramas. I forced myself to keep watching until I gave up. Xu Kai was not enough to keep me watching.
Yes, you are right. I "don't need to tell you what to comment" and you should respect others whose opinions differ from yours. I have been reading without commenting but your responses to one of the members who simply said she was struggling to finish this made me jump in. You have no problem pushing your views on others and saying people must be blind not to feel this chemistry which you think is the best this year. There is no way this is the best chemistry of the year, but that is your opinion. Stop attacking people whose opinions differ from yours. Accept that not everyone enjoyed Seven Tan in ABAY.

How do you know the reviews are given by fake account holders? Just because someone did not like Seven Tan in ABAY does not make the account fake. And again, enjoy "your" Seven, but you need to stop attacking others who don't.

Thank you for asking this question nicely. I will try to explain. She tries too hard with the emotional scenes that I find them overdone. She has this wide-eyed look that makes her look scared to be kissed. And when she tries to act flirty in what she thinks is being cute, it looks ridiculous. Xu Kai looks so hot, but it is hard to feel the chemistry when I am rolling my eyes and cringing at the look on her face. I don't want to say anymore but the visuals did not work where she was concerned. The short hair does not help her face. Let's just leave it at that. The cp was just wrong, wrong, wrong. I wanted to watch Xu Kai and thought I would be able to overlook what I found lacking in Seven Tan in romance roles, but I ended up feeling frustrated and annoyed. This saying, I am done with this and moving on.

I am happy for Xu Kai as Han Ting was #1 in Q3 in the URBAN DRAMA category. Han Ting was top 10 at #8 in the overall category. For me and for others, Xu Kai was the big pull to ABAY, and judging by Han Ting's popularity, Xu Kai had a lot to do with ABAY's viewership rankings. However, some did not enjoy ABAY. The business aspect was extremely boring.

Your comment "...good tight slap given to all those negative reviewers and haters..." is offensive to people who are honestly saying they did not enjoy this drama. You need to realize Xu Kai has many fans who wanted to enjoy ABAY, but did not because of the FL. It would be best if you also respected that not everyone is a big Seven Tan fan. You give all her dramas a 10 just because she is in it. I see she has a small group of loyal fans and I am sure she is a sweet person and a good actress in some aspects, but not everyone finds her as appealing as you do. I am choosing not to go into the details as to why Seven Tan as the FL made this drama a big flop for me because it is not necessary here. I love watching Xu Kai, but he was not enough to keep me watching ABAY.

I put it on hold many times. Sometimes the comments were so positive that it made me go back to watch and then wonder what was so great about that scene. I keep watching, thinking it will improve, and Xu Kai makes me want to keep trying. He is wonderful in showing his emotions just with his eyes and smile. I am not sure if it is the FL's character or the actress herself who makes the chemistry feel so flat. Xu Kai's character was at the top of the charts in popularity for weeks. I am just not feeling this cp. I wouldn't have commented here because some will attack you just for having a different opinion. When I saw the way they objected to you having a different opinion, I wanted to let you know you are not alone and you have the right to express your opinion.

Not everyone is "praising that this is one of the best cp of the year." I have been reading the comments. You keep whining about the rating being too low. I don't think it is too low because I am struggling to finish it. One minute she is with her fiancee and the next she is in love with Han Ting. Maybe I should start over from the beginning because I must have missed how they got here. I don't feel this great chemistry. Xu Kai is the big attraction to the drama, but I am having a hard time finishing it.
