It might sound like I'm nitpicking but the only downside for me was fl's acting. the acting overall was good but fl's acting wasn't consistent in my opinion. there were many instances that her acting felt a bit fake/unnatural (specially her facial expressions)? idk how to say it.. ml' s friend (Hanasaki)'s over acting was worse actually but it wasn't to the extent to make it unwatchable.
anyways ml's acting was great!! I'm impressed that his goofy side wasn't cringe at all. (except a bit in first episode).
All that said I watched it with minor skips, meaning this was a good entertainment.

this was quite interesting.
I loved the next door restaurant owners so much.
I wish ml's background was also explored.. not as deep as fl's but just a bit?? we know nothing about him!! I have many questions! family? his reason for becoming a detective? how he deducts during his investigations? why didn't he join the police as well as his friend?

I wish they showed us how fl's mom met everyone at the restaurant.. it felt like it was abruptly cut to see them interact little after dinner.
I know that they wanted to focus on the mother daughter talk but I was a bit disappointed since those were also big part of fl's life beside ml.

In ep 10

the synopsis sounds interesting!

the ending song sounds better with 2x speed!!

There is no way a drama with a ml who can't act and bad dubbing can achieve such a high rating! 8? this drama?
the quality resembles of the short (10min) cdramas.
I could only endure 7 episodes, wish I had read some reviews before wasting my time on it.

I've watched 2 episodes and so far it doesn't have the charm of a food jdrama!
I don't know how to say it.. it feels soulless!
Apart from Shima Taisei's bad acting, the super slow unnatural cooking part could have affected it. also it's very obvious that he couldn't make the toasts so they only showed him putting the last bit on the bread and he did it so sloppily that it shows it's not done by the same person.
in short the first 2 episode felt pretentious.

it seemed like fl started liking ml at some point but I didn't feel anything the other way around.
so it felt one-sided to me from fl.
they didn't really have chemistry. maybe a little as friends.

I usually like japanese detective dramas or mystery jdramas in general but this is too boring!
it's a shame, fl's ability sounded interesting but fl herself is boring as well.. she just stares and takes deep breathes with a poker face all the time.

the case in ep 2 (group suicide) had potential but they got their info so conveniently that it's bizarre.
he logged in the guy's account waaay too easily.. why didn't they tail them a bit before arresting them without evidence?
my main issue is also fl not using her ability from the get go!! she used her ability after they had to let go of their suspect! I wouldn't complain if she used some recent vision but she went through the crime scene visionary in her head!! it would've saved lots of time if she did that earlier considering her investigation skills are not good enough.
they started investigating their suspect claims after they had let him go!! what kind of clown show is this?

sadly I'm dropping it at ep 2.

why did Tsuchiya insisted that fl also chase after that guy?? there were others going after him, why stop her when she was onto something? wasn't he her subordinate?
I can't come up with anything other than pointless performative stunts... that's why the girl wasn't found 7 years ago..
even when she tells him about the girl that might be alive in the house, he still shrugs it off... tbh that frustrated me so much!!!
it's not like he wasn't aware of her ability. why would he do that???

the 2 clowns in the end as well.. mocking her for forceful entry without warrant... SHE SAVED A GIRL THAT EVERYONE THOUGHT WAS DEAD!!! is it really time to mock her?? I wasn't ready to see incompetent cops in a detective drama.

I only watched 1 episode and here I am with my rant!!

I could only endure 13 episodes... ml and fl lack chemistry (tbh there is none!)
it's so boring that each 10 minutes feels like an hour. dropped.

fl's lipstick is a bit distracting..

I think you can watch it without watching those.
they sure give more info on their overall relations but I watched this one without seeing those and it didn't bother me. I liked it so I'm planning to watch the prequels later.
that being said I think it would be better if you watch High&Low The Worst (Movie) before this one.

I'm at ep 13 and I have changed my mind. it's not worth the time.
the acting is so mediocre that it's distracting. the drama itself is too ridiculous so I'm out.

ml died but there was a time skip (6 months), fl was talking to her dead family I assume and she said 'can you manage beichan? tell him don't slack off' which is a weird thing to ask the dead if ml wasn't dead.
BUT none of the photos were ml's!
and suddenly ml calls her name, runs to her and they dance.
