I agree that it’s terrible of him to complete ignore and avoid JH. Don’t get me wrong, I am not defending JW’s behavior but more so I am trying to sympathize with his inner turmoil. He’s definitely doing the typical- I’ll be an ass so you can leave me since I don’t deserve any happiness. I think he figured if he talked to JH, he would give JH false hopes to wait for him. He probably does not want to pull JH down with him. His mind went somewhere completely dark and sometimes when that happens, we tend to push away those we care for the most. Notice how he’s still trying to act casual with his other friends by telling them he’s fine. He can’t do that with JH that’s why he couldn’t even look at him. It’s very complex for him right now. JH absolutely does not deserve this treatment. At all. That’s why I think it’s best that JH leaves JW alone and let him work through his trauma on his own first. He’s too broken at this point.

Exactly. If he continues to turn to JH as his refuge and escape, he’ll only end up hurting him more. I love that JH wants to heal him, but that ain’t gonna happen overnight. I would not be surprised if they do a time jump.
