The novel indeed had somes flaws, and among the novel reader you are the only person who had noticed it so far.
The author indeed aimed at changed at the community rules about women and others things, but like you said the author indeed was subtle or make a centric plot.
But I'm not worry regarding the drama since that is in the novel.
Here in the drama I trust the writers would do justice to it and make more subtle for the views.
And the news is the drama had two good writers judging from their previous work so far.

I felt excited when reading that part in the novel.
Because I haven't seen Neo wearing armor and leading army to war in his recent dramas.
That's I'm patiently waiting to see how Jibozai (Neo) will look like in army uniform. But the scene happened after he had already became the emperor in the novel, that why I don't want ,and hoping they won't cut off emperor part in the drama

There is scene in the novel where he wear armor to war against the rebelled city and I hope to see it here in the drama as well.

I hope they won't scrap off Jibozai war scene with armor? Else I won't forgive them!!

But still yet I still expect them to change some thing from the story and genre compare to that of the novel..
But the seems to be more of xianxia and historical genre.
In the novel their cultivation is that of an immortal and their palace and city setting seem to more historical compare to wuxia and xianxia setting.

The Jibozai as the emperor played a big role in the novel.I don't they can't just easily cut it off and write different thing and still make his character more meaningful than the one in the novel.

You might be right about the post or the comment you saw earlier ... Jibozai indeed had a lowely and a miserable past. Althought it wasn't mention in the I guess his miserable past it must had also include him been a slave he wasn't born rich, he's an orphan and his life was full of mystery.

I now understand why everybody is upset with Jibozai. He indeed betray and abandon her, but she also got her revenge. I was thinking this light novel without such complicated and dark story. I never knew it had such hard part of it during their journey....

So, I don't know why every novel reader are just here ruining Jibozai character and making it look like he is the only one the lied to Mingyi. when Mingyi also lie to Jibozai from the beginning. Or is it because Jibozai scheme over power Mingyi own?? She brought herslf and lies to Jibozai house which they're not even married, but with her soely purpose to get the antidote and not because she loves Jibozai. The drama isn't out and I guess the writer will make a lot of change in each of the character judging from the plot summery .

And this Jibozai housekeeper is also the same woman that played Wanye mother in IAAN

I'm writing for a thug like you that don't even know how to differentiate between a character and the actor who play the role, because later now you will start referring Neo (actor) as Jibozai (fictional character) and be speaking nonsense about him. The drama isn't yet out, so it's too early to comment nonsense about any character here.
