I think maybe because he was someone who's never interest in love or marriage. And he's used to playing with others girls to achieve his goals. So falling in love with Mingyi was somehow unexpected to him. Jibozai is an ambitious person who will do and used anything for his revenge and power. But he do care for his people, and in his life mingyi was the only woman he ever treated so well compared to others. And maybe his own understanding of love is different too. I agreed he did made mistake, but it was later after he realised his love for mingyi and the feeling of waking up and seeing the person you love beside you. He then later tried his best, trying to make up for his mistake. But the point where mingyi said she had forgiving him, but like seeing him suffer for her was kind of draggy to me. Like your previous comment that you said "you don't know why this is a HE". From your view, you sounded as if people or someone arent or shouldn't be allowed to give a second chance or repent whenever to make a mistake or commit an offense. Beseide mingyi wasnt just an innocent and a naive girl who fell in love, and ended been treated poorly. But rather she was the one who consceal her identity and set a love trap for Jibozai just to obtain the antidote. That was her reason for approaching Jibozai in the first place before she ended up falling in love with him. Since that happen in the novel I won't emphazised too much because that's something I don't wish to happen in the drama as well. It's good if there's a break for Jibozai to realise his love for Mingyi because of the way he treated her before, but it shouldn't be too long or draggy just like the novel. And I also hope for subtle plot in drama because the story in the novel looks like a social commentary..

I was okay with her taking revenge on jibozai over the fake marriage schemed. But going far ahead as stressing and messing with him to the point that he got sicked and so on... Was just unnecessary to me. Like, could she had won or be happy if jibozai happen to at that time?? And those are basically the part I wish for them to change in the drama most. The break up took so long, and about 50 chapters in the novel. And if that should happen or take so long in the drama, will gradually loose viewers interest and attract hate to the characters itself. And I also hope the get a subtle plot here compared to the novel.
So what's your point of writing all this now or what point are you trying to make, for people to ship them?? Or…
