I think the dress would've been much better without the sleeves that long, it looked very inconvenient to me

I know it’s a bit immature but, I somehow can't look forward to SWL's new drama cuz his face is LYS to me which belongs with NXG. I loved his Seven Relics of Ill Omen and shipped the couple there but SOM is special to me cuz I love the novel so much, and waited for this drama for a whole year, this is a first for me. I even couldn’t rewatch ZJM's Reset, a drama I absolutely adore, cuz she's NXG to me now. I just need time to get out of this I guess

He does ultimately in book 2. I remember there was something about, after 10 yrs, he mostly forgotten XG and dated people too but it didn’t last long, they always end it in amicable ways. He somehow stays friends with his ex, one of his ex says that, he is a very good boyfriend, very caring, but he could never love them enough, like there was an air of loneliness around him that he couldn’t get rid off, always lingering. He always makes people lonely at some point. It's just in his personality. He becomes really very successful tho, like crazy rich too.

After reading the novel and watching 30 eps of this drama. I think even if XG and ZX got together at some point they wouldn’t last. XG would always ultimately end up with YS. XG and ZX are really not compatible together. With ZX, XG would always doubt herself, that's how he made her feel all the time. I don't hate ZX, I could see why he didn't accept her, not everyone have the luxury of going after what they want. But what I don’t appreciate is how he approached it. He made situations worse than they were with his words.

Well YR's end in the novel wasn’t that much of getting karma honestly. She just quit and went to another city ( a lot happened before that, like she got cheated on by that cousin of ML) after making one last attempt in making things hard for XG, like girl didn’t even give us a chance to think like "okay at least she can say sorry". It wasn’t that satisfactory but at least she couldn’t make things hard for XG as she expected, she totally underestimated XG

I'd say it followed the novel pretty well. Especially the the first 80% of book 1 was pretty much the same, but then they changed the pacing and the order of some scenes and some surrounding scenarios too. I'd say the drama fixed some problems of the book, the books are awesome, don't get me wrong, but for example when they get together under palm blossom trees, YS actually asked XG is she was being impulsive and her original reply was something like "yes, I'm being impulsive, do you wanna be together or not" this reply kinda irked me ngl, imagine the girl you went through so much to find says she's being impulsive when asking you out. In the drama XG's reply was something i really liked. She clarified that she was being really serious and not impulsive. Also I liked the holiday arc in drama which the books didn’t have. Drama YS got to have the closure that XG would genuinely care for him before the truth was revealed which the book YS didn’t have. Plus so many other things, if I start listing it would get too long.

It’s actually ironic how both LYS and ZX had misunderstandings about NXG at first but one trusted his own eyes and instincts, ultimately getting the girl and the other was a total coward and indecisive, then ended up miserable
