She helps them all to achieve them in a way- but I think too that all the goals the ML's have - doesn't make her throw away her inner/true choice of living. It's just that they are not compromizing ( exept the one who does)....
So I feel what YZ wanted to say with " she had no choice" is more about why are her goals/life choices what they are. Besides, just after that interesting phrase, she continue on how messy XY childhood was...(just my thoughts for the moment).
