"xiao yao did not have a choice" that's so interesting Yang Zi would say that.
"I don't think XY's criteria is unreasonable"...Same as also they shown her few times telling that her main goal was to just live a free life (with cotage , dogs and herbs). She helps them all to achieve them in a way- but I think too that all the goals the ML's have - doesn't make her throw away her inner/true choice of living. It's just that they are not compromizing ( exept the one who does)....
So I feel what YZ wanted to say with " she had no choice" is more about why are her goals/life choices what they are. Besides, just after that interesting phrase, she continue on how messy XY childhood was...(just my thoughts for the moment).
How come Xiang Liu is the last one to arrive!? Or no where in the scene!?He is the supposed to have felt her pain…
CX feel his heart starting to race wild (he remember the last time it did so it was when his father died so he relates it to XY instantly & Jing has the herb satchet she gave him that fall from his belt)...
Yang Zi : "I played (xiao yao) according to the original work. i think tong hua laoshi has already written it very precisely. in the earlier stages, i think xiao yao did not give her heart to any man. i also think all 3 guys had a chance. in my opinion, it's not who xiao yao chose but that, a lot of the time, xiao yao did not have a choice. after suffering many setbacks, xiao yao still had a compassionate heart, yet she's not a perfect girl. doesn't everyone like to watch perfect female leads now? xiao yao has her own flaws but it's her flaws that make her feel like a flesh-and-blood, realistic character to me. i really like herβ

On episode 30, it was unfortunate that the show did not fully tell/capture what happened in the Tong Hua novel. Tushan J got there first=> because of his tracking ability wich are shown in earier episodes + He used his winged creature , but it was never shown in the drama (wich is a mysterie of the filming)....Also I would add that for me the ep.30 contain one of the most intense and heartbreaking scene with TCJ, as XY wouldβve actually died if it wasnβt for TSJ making it there just in time. TSJ gave her his spiritual power and also used his body to shield her from the surrounding fire. This is not passive from my point of view :) Yes he is too kind, sweet, gentle and unambitious, and yes I agree with you (even XY will tell him that), it sometimes feels like uncertain/boring character trait - that's he's default. And all characters get to have one that are very annoying ...
So I have watched the first 9 episode and altough the drama is great and all that, tbh I don't know what's the…
"I don't mind tragic endings as long as they are done right.....but tell us that!"... There are absolutly going to be closures => in S2. Even if here and there in S1 some visuals and dialogues gave you already some good hints on where it's unfolding, what kind of feelings are growing and underlining...The point is that : if the main characters don't deal differently with their inner motivations/life goals it's going to remain quite predictable. In your opinion what does the white haired demon wants? (he-the character, not you-the viewer)?
