I'm sure the actor just was uncomfortable with kissing someone. I mean he never did it even in the straight romance…
I loved the series, but Adachi and Kurosawa's NOT kissing (while Tsuge and Minato did) seemed to me very... weird. As much as I loved their chemistry, that last "hidden" kiss in the elevator made me immediately no longer see them as Adachi/Kurosawa, but as two straight actors who must have refused to kiss because... "eww, people might actually think we're gay!" Disappointing.
Going to say that this is probably Cheewin's best series, and I'm surprised by it. He's usually prone to putting…
While I'm enjoying the drama here, I kind of feel like Cheewin noticed the popularity of fact-based Lovely Writer/Call It What You Want 1 & 2, and decided to build a fictional mini-series on behind the scenes crap. Nothing wrong with that, of course.
But I'm more than happy not to have to deal with fart jokes. :) Thai directors do seem to enjoy their shit.
Lordt. This is some crazy (but sadly true) behavior being shown between Toon & Pla. Their battle goes beyond further…
You speak truth about the managers! But, at least for Thai BL, they're not really wrong, are they?
It seems to that (most) Thai BLs thrive on two things: young cute guys and fanservice. It's become boringly formulaic. Back in "LoveSick" days, Captain and White were the "it" boys. Captain (now at the ripe old age of 24) has all but disappeared and White been given nothing but bit parts for a few years now.
My own feeling is that if fanservice could be obliterated, lots of the toxicity would go away. And, while I like cute young hotties as much as the next horndog, I wouldn't mind seeing more BLs with guys in their 30s and 40s as main couples. There are plenty of hot, sexy guys that age, and the stories could offer some new -- and real -- perspective.
For example, "Papa & Daddy 2" just ended and I thought it was refreshing... and really good!
So Rain and his parents suffer a major helicopter crash where it completely explodes into flames upon impact, killing everyone immediately except for Rain, who somehow escapes alive?
Riiiiiiiight. (I'm sure that's where the story is going, but please... )
I'm really liking this series. Except for the weird thing where the cameraman zooms in on someone making a fist. It's kind of dumb and it's getting old.
SMH... I had no idea that Gus's manager was being played by Dome Jaruwat... the fantastic Thai singer who has sung (among many other things), the OST theme song from Until We Meet Again! https://youtu.be/jgb1oYpGeWM
This series gives us more questions than it gives answers . they doesn’t answer any questions . The final judgment…
War of Y is not the first series to expose the toxicity of (some) behind the scenes goings on in BL. "Lovely Writer" did it, as did "Call It What You Want" and "Call It What You Want 2. " The last two were based on actual experience from "2 Moons 2."
I watched and enjoyed 2 Moons 2 but, while it was airing, I had no sense that there was anything amiss behind the scenes.
So then, if this this truly about the BL world, I guess we have to wonder about every BL that we watch... right?
I think it's more so telling us what to look out for (i.e. toxic environment actors might be in, or on how to…
I think getting rid of fanservice and fake "ships" would be a great start. It causes far more harm than good. But the production companies know they can make money off of it, so they don't give a crap about whether or not it harms their actors.
I'm enjoying this series well enough, but I'm confused...
It seems that the series (based on true stories, or at least somewhat) is trying to tell us to stop watching BL, because of all the crap the actually goes on behind the scenes. Is that the message?
If the message is that fanservice sucks and causes nothing but harm, then I'm all for that message. I've always hated fanservice, it's just super creepy.

Okay, I'll shut up now. :)
(I loved it!)

Fahlan: "I had diarrhea."
Me: "Well, that's one way to kill a date in less than five seconds... "
