YAAAAASS! I was a shy gay boy in high school. I manage to have a few encounters (with guys not in my school), but trying to fit in was so difficult. I'm totally fine with the Eiw character. I also had major crushes on some of my best friends. I could have never let them know. It was tough.
Friends, I've been reading a lot of comments attacking gay men for wishing that BLs were written by men (and not women), making them more realistic. (And please forgive me for going off topic here.)
As a gay guy who has had his fair share of anal sex (as both top and bottom), I feel compelled to share the following:
Ladies, one thing you must remember is that (unlike women) guys have a prostate, which is probably the equivalent to your G-spot. So anal sex provides a different experience for us than it does for you.
Almost 100% of the time, both guys want to have a pleasurable sexual experience. If there is pain in the middle of the act, the bottom makes his needs known and the top backs off. The two make it work.
So, can ass pain happen for a bottom? Yes, on a rare occasion. But in most cases, it doesn't (we tend to have a lot of lube at our disposal). Unless the poor bottom is sadistically raped. (Which would be equally traumatic for a woman, I would think.)
PLEASE, let's get this ridiculous trope out of BL content.
Did you know that MAME published a BL novel where some guy was topping another, to the point where he made the bottom start bleeding, and then the sadistic top decided to use the blood as "lube" to keep banging the guy relentlessly? It's true. And gross. And unrealistic. A despicable version of a perverted woman's fantasies. Which is why I refuse to watch any BL based on her disgusting novels. (And, of course, I know that most women are not like this!)
So yes, it's time to get some realism into BLs. Men don't walk around with sore assholes the day after anal sex. Period. I hope my post helps to shed some light on real-life gay sexual encounters.
Tharntype came out years ago, the quality of bl's back then were not that good and we didn't get bl's that often…

After watching close to 200 BLs over the last 4+ years, I've noticed that most of the ridiculousness (guys walking with a limp the day after anal sex, etc.) come from women writers of THAI BLs. The Filipino BLs are mostly written by men and are more realistic.
I still watch some Thai BLs, because they are the biggest producers of the genre, but I refuse to watch anything based on a story from MAME ever again. No way.
While I enjoyed this first part, it felt like it was time to be over. Seng really stood out here; the story was dark, but a bit melodramatic at times.
For me, the ending was fine (although I think Pan should have kept and cashed the check). Pan and Nott reconciled enough to satisfy the fujoshi crowd, although I seriously didn't see them as some kind of "lived-happily-ever-as-they-ride-off-into-the-sunset" couple. Seemed more like a typical "let's date and enjoy sex with each other for however long it lasts" relationship.
I give them about 7 months before they both start screaming for a divorce.
