Does anyone know how/why they have so many well known American actors in this production? Usually in most kdramas, they just cast a random non-actor that can speak English. I was very surprised to see so many actors from American tv and film in this series.

Are you sure it was ep 7 and not ep 6? Bc the official TBS website says ep 7 is airing on 8/12. Was it this ep?

i think it depends why you watch daily dramas. I like to watch the evil characters suffer 🤣🤣🤣. If the evil characters get forgiven at the end, hate it, my rating tanks. I also really liked Happy Sisters and Home for Summer.

I love person who give happiness. It’s definitely one of the best daily dramas.

So fun! Not sure why the rating is so low. Probably bc there’s no romance. It’s my second favorite currently airing show, behind When the phone rings.

Just reading other people’s comments, it seems that the novel and drama are pretty different. Also, since only half of it is even translated, I wasn’t sure it was worth it.

There is that flashback in episode 12 where Yurong wins first place in the exams and Fangfei waits outside the palace. Then, there is another flashback where Yurong is in court official robes and Fangfei is waiting outside the palace and the princess touches Yurong arm and says “did you come to see me?” Fangfei is in the same dress, so I thought it was the same day. Also in ep 1, Yurong asks to marry Fangfei saying, “she stood by me when I was a nobody, but I have power and status now.” I assume he got status and power because he achieved first place in the exams and was appointed a court official. So, I think the sequence of events is, Yurong wins first place in exams, he is appointed court official, he meets the princess at some point while he is in the palace and then he goes to ask to marry Fangfei. Regardless, I still want to know the circumstances of his meeting the princess. Why did he start the affair with the princess? For more power and status? Or because the princess pressured him? Still curious.

I’m curious to know how Shen Yurong’s affair with the princess started. Did Shen approach the princess trying to gain a higher court rank and the princess became obsessed with him? Or did he seduce her? How long has the affair been going on? Because it seems like the affair might have started before they married.
