You don't understand, it's YIFAN's story, it's in her POV and it's about HER life. So Sang Yan is a character in her life, someone who walked in her life and changed everything. It was never Sang Yan's story, just like how Hidden Love is Sang Zhi's story and Duan Jiaxu is a character in her life. So ofcourse you'll feel like Sang Yan is a side character, for us audience it might appear to be like that, but for Yifan, he's the hero of her story, he's the main protagonist and he's the one around whom her world revolves. If you want to judge then put yourself in YIFAN's shoes. About why he's unrealistically perfect, it's because he appears LIKE THAT to her, he's perfect for her because she loves him and assumes that he has no flaws. Of course she'll think like that because he always took care of her, chased her, made sure she's happy and did all the things for no one else did. That's why his character seems like it has no depth, because for Yifan he's her DREAM MAN who is PERFECT in her world, without any flaws. So yes, it's not Sang Yan's story, it's Wen Yifan's story and he's the main character of her story.

1. Happy Ending 2. Won't call it love triangle but there were side characters who were introduced to make the leads jealous. That's it. 3. I might not know the ratio but the it's kinda complicated. It's like some days they hate eo and next day they get married lol. 4. The Female lead starts staying in the Male Leads home and after a while they fall for each other (The male lead was already in love from the start). 5. They did break up in episode 10 but get back together in episode 11 lol. 6. There were misunderstandings...the male lead thought the female lead likes someone else and the female lead thought the same. But all of that gets sorted in just one episode. 7. The plot is very mediocre. It starts off strong but goes downhill way too quick. Little to no character development, no explanations and some how bad acting in my opinion. Basically a man is in love with a girl from his high school days but couldn't confess. He meets her again after some years, but this time as business representative. After that he helps her move out of her annoying dorm and lets her stay at his place, both of them sign a contract then fall in love and all... 8. I would say the chemistry is average. They didn't look bad together, but not great either. I have watched the female lead in WIFTY and she had a lot more chemistry with Gu Ran there. In this drama, it feels like something is forced. But somehow it depends on person to person, so maybe others find their chemistry strong. But in my opinion, I feel the chemistry wasn't there.
