He came off as inarticulate to me when there were times when Tine clearly misunderstood him, but instead of just saying plainly how Tine misunderstood, he just did that thing where he makes his eyes small, scoffs, then looks the other way. Like, why let your bf/loved one wallow in their sadness/misunderstanding while you wait to say it on stage? He was shameless about his love at first, but then when it comes to actually handling the relationship (when no one else is around except Tine himself), it's like he's switched bodies a little.

I don't mind a brooding, laconic guy or 高冷 as we would say in China. That type of thing is good and really attractive when it's done well like Phana in 2 Moons or (to more of an extreme) Lan Wang Ji in The Untamed, but Sarawat just seems wishy-washy and almost like a pushover a lot of the time, to me.

I know you're not trying to change any opinions. It's just conversation. It's good to exchange ideas, I think...especially about a topic both people like.

I think the musical aspect of it was a little cringy at times tbh and I couldn't get over how without words Wat finds himself all the time, but is somehow able to not only write lyrics and music for exclusively love songs, but able to shamelessly sing them out in public. Like...what? lol It takes a missing bf and a dirty bus for you to properly articulate? Meh...

Make It Right was a comedy more than anything else for me. There were a lot of umm...weird(?) things about it though. lol

I don't mind when the action happens, personally. It's a bit weird when it's the first episode (like Make It Right), but if it's a fundamental part of the storyline, then OK. The biggest turn offs for me were Bright's acting and the lackluster subplots. We've just seen it all before and I could forgive it if really excelled in just one area, but sucked in others, but this one just average in every category for me (storyline, acting, production quality, chemistry). It wasn't terrible, I admit that, but it really wasn't very good either.

I feel like if you've never watched a BL before and this is where you start, it'll leave a good impression on you and it'll make you want to watch more BLs. To that end, I think I can appreciate this one. However, if you've been watching the multitude of BLs that Thailand has been pumping out since like 2015 (like so many of us have), it's really, REALLY hard to cut this one some slack.

Just watch all the HIStory series tbh. There are a couple of flops in there, but most of them are still good. lol

Agreed. In general, when it comes to deciding what priority to put a BL show on my list to watch, I usually just read through the comments instead of going by the rating. 2gether and its fanbase is probably the best example I've seen of why I do this and why I encourage others to as well.

I'm only on episode 2, but I'm already loving the chemistry between the leads, but according to the comments here, it looks like the side couples are the ones to watch. Really looking forward to this one!

Ok, aside from the cringy high five that will live on in BL infamy, episode 13 gave me what the only thing I was hoping for from it: more Man//Type screen time.

I get it. I live in Beijing and this type of portrayal is par for the course for dramas in China. I get the history and the Japanese were brutal, but their characters in this show didn’t seem multidimensional enough, even if they are villains. That’s my point. Let them be evil, fine, but there could have been another part to them, but I realize how much that is to ask, which is why I still accept this show to be as amazing as I think it is.

I can handle tragedy if it fits the story well.

I thought this drama very much was a masterpiece. I'm curious to know where exactly you think it failed to the point that it doesn't deserve the current score it has. Like do you give it around a 5? If so, why? I'm genuinely curious.

The only fault, if it's even really a fault, is the over-dramatization of the villainy Japanese. Xiao Lai's death would have been slightly more believable if, after having been raped by so many Japanese soldiers, she slipped into a deep depression, then committed suicide rather than the soldiers just raping then murdering her.

This drama is a masterpiece. Plain and simple. Don't miss it.

The consent was letting him do it. I think that was a pretty clear example of saying one thing, but meaning another, especially when we consider how physically aggressive Type is in general. He also makes a reference to the BJ later on in the show with a neutral attitude, so I'm convinced of that incident being rape at all.

I feel like I'm really getting to know these characters. I feel like all of them are friends, colleagues, crushes, etc. Er Ye is so smooth and cool. Shang Lao Ban is crazy and impulsive, Er Nai Nai is shrewd and in control (not unlike myself). The supportive Shui Yin Luo group is so loving, especially Xiao Zhou Zi. I'm on ep. 42 and I REALLY, REALLY don't wanna let this drama end. :(

Right?! When are we gonna that girl bestie of one of the male leads who's just like "Go, best friend! That's my best friend!" and support the relationship 100%? Why are they bent on making girls conflicts?

About Type, I think that guy was actually a senior employee at his job. If he refused to go in the car with him that night, maybe it would cause problems for him at work later. Also, Type isn't 100% about Man just yet. He's getting there, but right now, I'd say Type is thinking 60% "This guy is really annoying." and 40% "This guy has potential."
