If such a good story ,well written and brilliantly acted characters are the cause of terrible disappointment for…
This is an interesting top 10. I feel strongly about all of them. Either I love them and they're also on my top 10 or I hate them. LOL

Well he is still playing same characters again and again. Should has used another example.
Agreed. Hilariously bad example. lol I don't dislike him though.

Tee hahahaIt was a HUGE misscasting for this. Mork was supposed to be a regular thai boy, they casted a half european…
No, they said "Tee hahahahaha" then they went on to mention Mork/Drake as an addition to the fact that Frank was miscasted, but again, it was a physical thing. lol Drake did a good job acting wise, but physically, he definitely doesn't look the part of "a regular Thai boy" either. haha Cheers!

They're talking about Frank and they're not talking about his acting, but rather his physical features. In the series, he's supposed to be Thai-Chinese, but Frank doesn't look very Chinese.

I'm kinda pre-cringing because of the scenarios I've thought of as to how this could end up, but I like the first two episodes. I just hope the sister doesn't continue to pop up so much. With only 11 minutes per episode, we don't have time for her antics.

Aey is way worse than Nubsib though at least in the novel. If they follow the novel we will see Aey do some pretty…
Uh...I don't know who Xing Si and Yong Jie are. haha
Well, this story isn't about Aey. We know who the couple is and who we want to see together. This is a standard in romance. Unless the story's set up in such a way that we're not supposed to know who's going to get with whom, then ultimately the other person's just in the way.
Nubsib pushes and Nubsib knows when to stop. This is how he and Gene have been able to get close to each other. It hasn't been totally manipulative.

Gene at least had some, even if minuscule interest in Sib within his tolerance of Nubsib being pushy. If Gene had outright refused Sib and we had to go through a couple episodes of Nubsib sulking and realizing he has to try a different way, I wouldn't be sympathetic to that either, but Gene's interest was there, ultimately.

My lack of sympathy for Aey begins and ends at him not taking a hint. That Gene likes Nubsib and wasn't completely honest about it is kind of irrelevant. Nubsib doesn't like Aey and hasn't been remotely unclear about that. He's even shown Aey that he likes someone else (Gene). Love the character, but when/if he crashes and burns, it'll be hard for me to feel bad.

Nubsib is not THAT bad, really. Spoiled, flawed, for sure, but not "bad bad". Really. Some of you are too obsessed…
Agreed. Nubsib hasn't been malicious toward anyone so far.

This may be an unpopular opinion but Bruce is the best actor in the entire Lovely Writer series. Aoey is a character…
I don't think this is an unpopular opinion and I agree with you. I somewhat wish that he and Nubsib had a past together (like maybe having dated for a little while) just have the opportunity to see Nubsib (or anyone else besides Mohk and his well-meaning, but hurtful sister) actually show some care for him. I admittedly didn't want to see much of him before, but his acting is very good. I love his cute voice. It goes so well with his sweet smile and his sinister little attitude.

Huh? Step away from Mame mind here. Gene was looking after the kid and trying to involve him because he didn't…
I have, but if I can nit-pick a bit here: during that narration, he's actually writing the novel, so it may not be meant to be understood in that way. That is to say, he's not saying his own love is being rekindled, but that of his characters is. I get that may be reaching, but still. lol

Ah ok. Well, you mentioned Gene's narration too, so that's why I mentioned the POV bit. For me, personally, it's a little hard to see the childhood scenes as budding romance, but I guess it must be coming off that way since quite a few people have mentioned it.

Gene also says, "You were so young at that time. How could you like anyone?", so that shows that, at least from Gene's side, which is the side people seem to be finding the most problematic, the relationship very platonic and brotherly back then. This is also partly why Nubsib avoids telling Gene who he is in the first place, because he didn't want Gene to seem him like a little brother as he did in the past.

I won't have missed anything except the introduction of Mix, who gets mostly introduced in ep 4 anyway.
No problem. Also, yeah, yellow is his theme color. Blue is Mix's. That point is made in episode 3 and highlighted again in episode 4.

I'm seeing a lot of people say Ep 4 was good. Should I just skip to there? I'm on Ep II part 1 and I can't do…

No consent is a problem. While it is fiction, it's not OK to just romaticise it. Love by Chance also had a scene…
Nah, it's you looking stupid by yourself . ^_^ You haven't tripped up anything for me. You have gripes with BL prudes. I get it, but I'm not the one complaining about every single thing "problematic" with every single BL that comes out as you presume me to be. I know the people you're talking about and I've taken them to task and questioned them too, albeit with a bit more nuance than "WhY dOn'T yOu StOp WaTcHiNg BLs". No one's standing on a moral high ground here. Please see: people who think the TharnType shower scene or Fighter pushing Tutor on the bed and ripping his clothes was "sexual assault" for more details. LOL And as it turns out, more so than the reasons I mentioned above, it's that this same series presents another non-consensual sexual act as super dark and traumatizing, but writes this one off as a joke. If we're gonna have questionable sexual situations that we look over as typical BL shenanigans, alright, but having 'targeted rape=bad' for one character, but 'targeted rape=a new ship' for another character is weird...in a bad way.
