I have no problem with an age gap in drama series. It's totally realistic. Namkoong Min's wife is around the same age as Yeon Yeo Been for example. As to the comment regarding where are all the female actresses in their 40's there are at least two currently staring in Noona romance dramas (No gain, no love, and Cinderella at 2 am) so they are still being casted.

Not true. Moving was a 20 episode season and The Worst of Evil 12 episodes. Both series released more than 2 episodes on the Wednesday the first week then 2 episodes per week thereafter.
