I was gonna say that you must be mistaken, surely there are more KBLs with longer eps, but then I double checked…
Light on Me is 16 episodes, they start with 18 mins and the later half is 30 mins.
in terms of hours, the eighth sense and unintentional love story is around 6 hours. to my star 2 is 5 hours, light on me is 7 hours. there are 3 shows that are 4 hours.

"Maybe since "Eighth Sense" started as a movie that was then ADAPTED into a series rather than chopped up into a series, the production took advantage of the different format to expand and enrich the story."
No. according to the director, it is always intended to be a series. the movie is cut down from the series, it is not they film a movie then film the series.
I am surprised at the 8.2 rating. I gave this a 9/10. The cinematography is a masterpiece. It was well acted and…
Dont take the rating at face value. The highest KBL drama here is 8.2 (semantic error, light on me, tms2 and the eighth sense). So if you scale it accordingly to this, this show is already a 10 since it is the highest possible when compared to the rest.
(Some of the movie version does get higher than 8.2 but im just comparing series)
Use the score as a guide and compare with similar show on the same platform. A 9.5 on imdb and a 9.5 on mdl is not the same. Different sites have different group of audience with their own different criteria.
i feel like we got some top-notch korean BLs in the past few months which is probably why people are being a bit…
i mean, 2023 is good for KBL so far. we only have individual circumstances as the only "bad one" (i still like it though) while the rest are good to best.
apparently it is only loosely adapted from the webtoon. not that it matters as i usually watch the show as it is without referring to source material.
the synopsis appears to be based on the webtoon version instead of the drama's which is quite different to the webtoon such as jaehyun is a pianist instead of a host.
i keep thinking of Noh Shin Woo when Seung Jun appear lol.
Honestly, i have hope for the show. yes it is short but it doesnt felt rush so far, i think the pacing is okay for now. i'm not sure if they can address everything within 8 episodes of 15 minutes though since there seems to be some backstory involved. but so far i'm still interested to continue
Official korean site show 8 episodes so should be a mistake by viki
