I never say you have to accept shit. By all means drop it if you dont like it. My issue is more of some people only wants gold now and wont accept anything else. If T8S is a 10/10, they only want 10/10 show and wont even accept a 9/10 or 8/10 now even though 9/10 and 8/10 are not shit too.
The newer show (HME, LM, SS) is not everyone's cup of tea and i understand. It is individual's choice to drop it. But at least give the proper reason. Such as bad characters, dont like the pacing etc instead of simply "oh because it isnt The Eighth Sense".
While the majority of people who drop it dont use that as a reason, they still exist especially when looking through the comments on the release week.

I never say specifically you. I'm just saying people were doing that. Not only when ep 1 drop. Some straight up say they are not watching just after the trailer. But at least it is not a significant amount
I feel like the Eighth Sense set the bar too high and now it's tough to fully enjoy other KBLs...

The newer shows are already being judged more hashly. Some do not even give them a chance, dropping it directly when the first week does not have same level as this show.

Dont take the rating at face value. The highest KBL drama on MDL is 8.2. So 8.2 out of the highest possible 8.2 is essentially a 10.
Use the score as a guide and compare with similar show on the same platform. A 9.5 on imdb and a 9.5 on mdl is not the same.
KBLs seems to be rated more harshly here compared to other drama. None has surpass the 8.2 limit yet. Some of the film version of KBL however did get higher score but i think it is more fair to compare the dramas among themselves.

In the webtoon they are fwb. Not sure if they address if he is in love with SJ or not in the later chapters, only the first 10 chapters are free and translated.
7.3 ... yikes. Semantic Error, TMS2 and Eighth Sense have spoiled us; bare minimum won't do anymore.
There are still 15 KBLs lower than 7.3 so this is still not the worst. But yeah the standard is very high now so the newer shows will be compared more harshly
