Most of the novel and webtoon adaptation are not one to one adaptation too. Changes definitely have to be made to cater to the run time and other requirements set by the production team. Doesnt mean it is good or bad. We have our fair share of both good and bad adaptations. I only check out the original if i'm confused about certain stuff from the drama or have questions unanswered that i hope is answered in the original, or simply wanting to compare when people point out interesting differences.

I never say you have to accept shit. By all means drop it if you dont like it. My issue is more of some people only wants gold now and wont accept anything else. If T8S is a 10/10, they only want 10/10 show and wont even accept a 9/10 or 8/10 now even though 9/10 and 8/10 are not shit too.
The newer show (HME, LM, SS) is not everyone's cup of tea and i understand. It is individual's choice to drop it. But at least give the proper reason. Such as bad characters, dont like the pacing etc instead of simply "oh because it isnt The Eighth Sense".
While the majority of people who drop it dont use that as a reason, they still exist especially when looking through the comments on the release week.
