At first it was a very light hearted historical drama but then it just started going deep with my emotions. I’m actually glad that at the end of the day Zhou Sheng Chen acknowledged the fact he let Shiyi down physically and partly emotionally. I just love the fact Shiyi never showed any warm emotions towards that “wanna be emperor” he needs a good check up in the head 🤦🏻♀️ Loved the siblings bond, although they’re just first cousins (Shiyi & Cui Feng) Overall, casting was so good. I don’t remember which episode I started crying from but this drama definitely made me cry.
people out here talking about the ending when i'm just waiting for the sub titles for episode 20-30 LOL. I remember scarlet heart days when i couldn't wait for subs so i watched the final episode RAW. Boy let me tell you, the acting spoke to me and i felt so heartbroken even when i couldn't understand what they were saying. lmao even up to now i still haven't gone back to watch it with subtitles. i feel like this will do the same for me. argh!!

yeah i was wondering where the modern day part was. Got carried away within the drama and later on questioned whether i missed an episode where it showed her from the modern days.lol or the fact that she's in a different body.
Didn’t wanna watch it cause the male character looked pretty old. I ended up watching it cause I had nothing else to watch. And dang it was so good. He doesn’t even look old in the drama, of course he was older but manly. Just another drama breaking my heart. Here’s me bawling my eyes after watching the whole season.
Literally the best. This lockdown got me to watch every episode with no skipping. No surprise for me for the endings since it’s chinese dramas. But I’m hoping for season two to come out ASAP. If someone knows the name of the book please let me know. Thank you
So much mixed emotions with episode 15. My heart is aching for these two and everyone else and it’s just a drama. lol. I have high hopes for a happy ending. There’s always a plot twist but I don’t wanna jinx it. My all time favourite for 2019-2020. The ship has sailed for the two main leads.
