This is definitely one of the best Japanese dramas I've watched. Even though I've seen a lot of people say that the acting was over the top for them and too obviously a manga adaptation, I don't think it's any more ott than other drama I've watched? Maybe this is just a matter of taste, but it wasn't too much for me at all. Some parts could've maybe been fleshed out more (like Kai's relationship with Shibuya), but the characters themselves, from the main ones to the supporting cast, were all great. Takahashi Fumiya and Shison Jun have definitely made it to my faves list. Seeing Gaku do a complete 180° at the beginning of every episode was painful, but the ending was that much more satisfying. If you want a quality j-drama, you should definitely give this a try!
She's so freaking pretty, whenever she was on screen I'd focus more on her than on anyone else ^^' I hope she gets more roles soon, her performance in Semantic Error was really good! And as some people already said, seeing her in a GL would be *chef's kiss*
If this hadn't been in a web drama format I feel like it could've easily been an 8/10. As someone already said, they didn't shy away from violence, which I find quite surprising for a drama like this. Had this been a full-lenght drama, it would've probably actually made me cry, because even though this definitely wasn't the best drama, my heart still hurt at the end :')) Some people say the two don't have any chemistry, but I think in Roommates of Poongduck 304, their acting does get better and I think it's visible that they are much more comfortable with each other there. I'd love to see them in a third project together, their acting might have a lot of room for improvement, but I think they both have potential. Anyways, if someone decided to make a longer drama out of this or a similar plot, I'd probably watch it lmao
I'm reading about Tengus for my japanese class and I immediately remembered this drama hahah Hopefully there will be a third season, as people already said, Akira's incident still wasn't properly explained... But honestly, I just miss the cast. I wish my language skills were enough to read the novels :')))
I'd love to see Ayan and Akk secretly joining forces to unveil the mystery of the curse, while pretending to still be enemies in front of everyone. There's just something about that dynamic that never gets old to me (or maybe it's just the fact that I recently watched Bad Buddy ahah)
I've said it before, but I gotta say it again... This had so much potential for a nice summer drama, but everything was absolutely wasted. The beautiful locations, the actors, the concept... Ngl, this makes me rly sad. Boun's smile was what kept me going through the last episode, but it couldn't distract me enough from the sudden development of SunArthid's relationship and the backstory dump we got. We didn't even see some things acknowledged, like if Sun ended up remembering Arthid?? Anyways, as everyone else already said, I hope this is not a bad sign regarding Between Us...
It reminds me of kpop stories where agencies cast actors in bad roles on purpose to lower their value before contract…
True and now that you've said that, it feels like the subs are so bad on purpose for some reason... And the fact that ep 5 still isn't on yt?? I gotta say, if there were any fanfics of this it wouldn't be hard to top the quality of the drama. I'm kinda inclined to write one myself since the characters and the set-up are fun...
This had the potential to be a cute little summer rom-com... It's a real shame since the location is beautiful and I know BounPrem can do better, but the script did them dirty. It's like a bad filler before they finally release Between Us.
The script was a little messy tbh and the last episode was a little anti-climatic, but I enjoyed watching Ichiro's and Shiro's shenanigans nonetheless. Inukai and Suzuki have good chemistry. Still, this had a lot of unfullfilled potentialn, which makes me a little sad. If they make a second season, I really hope it only gets better.
After seeing him in both Cherry Magic and Alice in Borderland, I can only say, this guy has potential to show a lot of variety and I really hope he'll get the chance to do so. He pulled off both characters so well, I was so shook. Just like his co-star Akaso Eiji, I hope people will recognize his talent and that we'll get to see him in more leading roles soon.
Saw him in Cherry Magic first and instantly fell in love with his cuteness, so I started watching Kamen Rider Build out of curiosity (and the need to see more of him >.>) and I never would've expected him to fit a role like that. Really hoping we'll get to see him in more main roles, since this just tells me that he's a good actor and that he can pull of different characters.
Not a fan of horror, but from the trailer, the MC really intrigued me and I really want to watch it... Can someone tell me if this is more on the psyhological horror side or just monster horror, bc if it's the latter, I'd be fine with that
Anyways, if someone decided to make a longer drama out of this or a similar plot, I'd probably watch it lmao
