romance ruined it (low-key)

this honestly was really good. i originally started watching this for ateez, but the storyline was actually pretty good! the only down side, was the romance. i feel like it was uneeded and the story would've been much better if it focused on friendships. a clear example of a good friendships, was probably hyuk & dojin (..dont quote me on the names) and seyoung & minsoo. those 4 were definatly my favorite characters, and i mainly think thats because there wasn't any romance storylines. for the actual story, i wished that it would've focused more into comeback preperation rather than acting. alot goes into making an album or song, and i feel like the show didn't expand on that much. also, the only massive problems or struggles about idol life they tuched on, was dating, busy schedules, and idol treatment. on the other hand, sparkling's storline actually touched on the struggles of being nugu, weight & dietry expectatation, and the ongoing talk on wether an idol is "really who they seem" on camera. thats probably why i enjoyed sparkling's storyline alot more than the main storyline. character wise, i liked the male lead. he's really talented and seemed like he cared about his group. but, i did think it was kinda strange that he broke up with the love of his life, just to value his career. i also felt like his "crush" on the female lead was rushed, and not written very well. the female lead on the other hand, i didnt mind her that much. but i feel like her character was rushed a bit. her family & backstory felt incomplete. also, fire whoever gave her those fuck ass extentions. they were so obvious. a character that i really liked, was yujin. call me biased but i loved his character. he had the passion and the talent, but he was a MEGA homie hopper. he went from liking ma-ha, to then liking hyun-ji within an episode. but, overall his acting was really good and the character suited him alot! another character i really liked was hyuk! he brought most of the comedic moments and i would of loved to see him get more screen time. seyoung and minsoo, although they didnt show up much, i still really enjoyed their characters! everyone else..didnt really stand out much or do anything astronomical (except dojin i loved his character) although, i did feel as though they rushed eunjo's storyline. it was also kind of uneeded. the music on the other hand, was actually really good. i enjoyed both of tea party's songs and i really liked sparklings songs as well. but i wasn't really a fan of shax's music. it wasn't the worst but both songs just sounded the same. constelations on the other hand, was amazing. i loved how they gor the whole cast to sing and how each person got a part and a moment to be highlighted. overall, the ending wasn't the worst. i love how it shows that sparkling got more popular and they made it out of nugudom, but it was kinda confusing. did shax sign under JH entertainment? did sparkling sign too? i just felt as though i had alot of unanswered questions by the end. to conclude, i actually did enjoy this and would love to see jongho, seonghwa and san all return to acting! im so glad that yunho is acting again and i cant wait to see his future projects!! (drama coming out august 8th, and a movie titled "back! stage" coming august 18th!!) i would reccoment this to anyone looking for a quick watch!
