Tbh a lot of people are so used to their angelic perfect male lead they see in dramas and forget it's just fiction…
Yeah I see your point, but If we are honest here... yes ? Of course here everything is taken to the extreme as I said in my review, I was kind of put off by the obsess from the FL to the ML, and I agree with you here... But I have also seen in real life multiple time very smart women stuck in some shady relationship where the man is abusive and/or the woman is abusive toward the man... I think everything depend on the person... Sometime love is blind...
I'll just join you on one of thing, the fact that the ML had the balls to take the company' share from the FL, and cut her off from her own company is beyound fucked up... and her answer "yes ofc I trust you..." was weird... but again a few ep before they were kind of talking about marriage... So again... For me from ep 21 to 23, I kind of shut down my brain and told myself "its just a drama, nobody is that dumb IRL"... haha... Maybe.
For the jail part, I don't really agree with you. If somebody you know is a piece of shit and kill one member of your family but you can't prove it, nor link him to the actual death... well sometime you get physical as the only possible answer, I'm not saying its ok to do so, but lets be real most people would do so, especially socialy inept people like the ML, who was a ticking bomb from the start. Beating him in public was not smart, but it was about sending a message I guess... The "blinding" part was weird, coz the dude was not "blind" in the end so... So yeah, just a good beating I suppose. Most people would probably go for an eye for an eye in this situation... So it was rather a soft "revenge" for my part, and 100% legit. And Don't forget the ML didn't expect the betrayal part from the SML at all. He gave 100% of his share to him, so I suppose the whole "its both our company, give me your part, and i'll give it all the SML was necessary for the plot, the whole drama is based on this after all"Its dumb, 100% and not realistic at all, but that's the "Drama" part, of the drama kind of.
First ever review... What a great journey that was from a C-drama. I'm not a big fan of asian romance drama in general because stuff are always too fluffy, or ML are always, lets say it, too fake or romanticized... There is no man who is not flawed, and damn this is a perfect exemple on how to make a flawed man who has built walls to protect himself against the world for years.
FL is actually great, she is strong willed, smart, not overbearing to watch, a great VOICE (please just that is a 10 rating for me)... and has values.
To sum it up for people who might be hesitating...
Yes, the ML may seems "too bossy", or "arrogant", but you need to understand, this is an actually extremely realistic approch of a Genius person, who dedicated 100% of themself in a field. Here the ML is easily 3 to 4 year ahead of his peers in college, and even at that time, he has pretty much no distraction, no fun, only work. Learning, working, he has already multiple experiences in the work field, so ofc he feels like he's speaking to children for the first few episodes, (and when you see their reaction, whell... he truly is speaking to children, they are immature, arrogant without any real skill to back them up, especially the "friend" sml, except basic class skill, and still dare to think they are on the same level of expertise... Please, get a reality life check bro, in real life you mess up so hard you actually get burned for a while in the work industry).
I won't go over the "drama" part, you can like it or not, however what's amazing is the actual relationship. The ML actually helped a lot the FL understanding the field she did not chose, but was made to chose by her parents (mother), he made her grow up really fast, she went from a child like princess persona, to a woman who think by herself. And that a big +1 for me, growth is what a CP purpose is, to take on life, and life is not a fairy tail.
FL is 100% my favorite lead I have seen a Drama/Show (western / Asian) in a while. Yes she started as a princess who had no clues, and expected that everything should be handed to her, what a wake up call. She went from a princess persona, to an actual pillar for ou ML. She made him open up to the world ( It did come to a heavy price for him ), and care for something else than himself. After that, and the most amazing part here is for once, she became the supporting character of the ML, and its a trend that I havnt seen in like 2 to 3 years (since Go ahead),, never doubting and always trying to understand the ML and their goal together.
Chemistry wise, that's a great 9 to 10 rating too. I mean, its kind of obvious what happened for a while between them, you can't act "that" well kiss wise, without some real passion, they are young actors so its fine, they can move on quite easily, anyway it helps a lot in selling the show, so its good and make it ever more "real" !
Story line is typical of a "Drama", but I liked the part in the company, it felt quite real for a Start up to act like them, money wise etc...
