That's not what she said. :) Asexuality doesn't have any implications about one's personal stance on romantic…
Hah, I think the lost in translation belief is a very good plan! And yes, I was thinking about the reaction to the gay character's being outed, which was interesting in a couple of ways. The mother's reaction might have been pretty much as expected, and given we first saw her being quite unaccepting of her daughter’s boxing seems to be an over-controlling (and wrong!), but from a caring place response. Especially compared to the other parents who are controlling and utterly selfish. But what really struck me was that he was outed first - in a way - by Dan Ah, who seems to care so little for people who aren’t useful to her. I hope tonight's episode shows Young Hwa reacting to his friend as well as the sister did!

Great minds - or worried minds, or something! I really would love to know how accurate the translation is, but in context, with May talking to Ji-Hyun, and his saying that other people were listening, it feels as if it should be accurate. Which - 100% agree - is a real shame given the rarity of ace representation in popular culture.

That’s exactly what I saw. She did say that she wasn't against romance and covered a wide range on the spectrum, but added “and that was before I met you, Ji-Hyun”. (Paused the scene to make sure I was getting it word for word!) It could be interpreted another way, I guess, but I can’t really see a substantially different meaning, unless the subtitles were off.
