Yeah... they definitely got away from the very interesting and funny premise about her as a chef. If the writers went with that they would have a much better show with good character development. They even could keep the company issue going but as something secondary to add some angst to the girl's career; maybe the brother blocking her way to get back at his brother. I also agree that her behavior and the decisions she made with someone she just met made no sense, specially after her boyfriend told her straight to stay away from the bad apple. Better luck next time.

The difference is that in Business Proposal and King the Land they stay together through everything! I love how in those two the main couple never break up!

I fell for it... saw it in the supermarket and had to buy some to see what all these product placements are about ..

Unfortunately, Dramaland suffers from holding on to past memories and events. A normal person wouldn't let something from their childhood or teenager years to define the rest of their lives, but there still are too many dramas where the main couple either love each other or hate each other just taking a single event or series of events from 10 years ago. For me, this is beyond unrealistic which is why most times I prefer the love stories when they just met and fell in love versus the childhood sweethearts storylines ...

I believe they do these to promote values and family... it is like there are some Chinese dramas that end up in separations or divorce in the original work, but the show adaptation must have a happy ending to promote family.

I'll take your word for it and start watching this tonight...

I agree with you! They had a perfect formula for a lighthearted funny fluffy show, but instead made it an unnecessary love triangle followed by a cringe relationship in the name of comedy. The show is not bad, but the potential wasted here is huge.

Fun Fact: He adds nothing to the plot for 90% of the plot, and when he contributes something you will quickly figure out that he never needed to know even who the FL was ...

I think this show is funny and can be enjoyable, but it suffers from yet another forced love triangle where the writers always find a way for the female lead to spend too much time with SML, or have him experience key moments that should be exclusive to the main couple. One of my biggest complaints is that the female lead is practically dating the SML since in the first 10 episodes she spends way too much time with him for no reason. They justify their first encounters with her mission to find her childhood friend, but that fades quickly when you consider that he knows from the beginning if he is or not that person, and meeting several times only for her to find out makes no sense. Another thing to consider is that by all means, all of the things they do are borderline dating with talking all the time on the phone, meeting to eat, then going for a drink or desert, and then the guy walking her or driving her home... I will rewatch this one, because I want to complete it, but that's only possible by skipping the SML, who not only is practically dating the FL with humongous amounts of screentime and quality time, but also, and not a surprise, even after the 10th episode followed by rejection and the main leads dating, she keeps him as a close friend for some nonsensical reasons.

"Aoshima-kun wa Ijiwaru" is a good filler drama to just turn your brain off and enjoy something short with little to no angst.

They get together by the end of episode 5.

I found this one looking for a "no break up" drama, and it seems like that is the case, so I don't think I'll have any complaints.
