They are love triangles. The main leads don't have to like the others back to complete the love triangle. As long as one or more outside of the main couple like one or both in the main couple there is a love triangle...

If you watched "Because this is my first life" I understand that it might be melancholy, but that show is not better than this one... All cliches and tropes are extra annoying in that one.

Unfortunately a lot of people must like that since the favorite girl for a love triangle with a male lead in C-Dramas is like this one... or just evil.

Slight love triangle as far as I can remember. There are people interested in our main leads, but they don't get too much screentime going after the main leads. Yes, happy ending, but I wished I saw more about the sport in the end.

The thing that happened with Falling Into you that haven't seen very often in other dramas is that while dramas like to make you wait and build up towards the main leads getting together, it gets to a point where either the main leads getting together doesn't meet expectations, the relationship breaks their chemistry or you just don't care anymore at that point, but Falling Into You felt the most fulfilling when they finally got together!

Writers just love to make them like that so you don't feel bad every time they are rejected by the perfect bachelor who prefers someone that on paper is no better than the second female lead.

Yes, the show has two love triangles, but they are not the worst I've seen, and it has a happy ending.
