I had a similar problem with Boys Over Flowers. I want to believe that people think these romance dramas are good because of the nostalgia because otherwise they are most definitely not good! The male lead is a red flag; an abusive and rude guy, and please consider that this version is an angel of light compared to the Korean version. The love triangle old trope where the female lead falls for the other guy doesn't help because is a literal waste of time, and the female lead herself not liking the male lead is just sad, and feels like the writers are forcing the main leads to be together when they don't really like each other... for me, it is an uncomfortable experience. Yes, the main leads get a free pass to most things, and we can forgive them because they are the leads, but here and all other versions, the main leads cross too many lines that should never be crossed.

And this is why romance dramas need a proper plot or a villain instead of misunderstandings and unnecessary break ups...

And this is why I always wait for romance dramas to be completed, do my homework and investigate about things that may annoy me or waste my time before I start watching...

They were more like very best friends than lovers! They are great actors, and I am not even close to the level of a script writer, but I blame them for not allowing us to get immersed to the point of believing they were a thing. A Dramaland couple does not feel like a couple because they kiss or hold hands, but because of their gaze, because they care about each other, because their exclusivity with each other and even sexual tension, but none of that matters when the writers insist on making both leads joke around all the time like they are best friends... It might be this or something else, but they most definitely do not feel like a couple even by the end...

Another nonsense revenge plot. I know villains don't necessarily need a valid reason to be evil, but one of the things that bother me the most is the villains "revenge"; and this is because in this case and others, the villain wasn't betrayed or wronged in any way, he just received retribution for his own actions, so by being punished, things are in balance since he did something bad and now he paid for that, but then the villain comes for revenge like he didn't deserve his punishment...

They do, but they divorce around episode 10 and get back together around episode 60. They are great to each other when they get back together.

I agree. In the same way that they skipped over 900 years, they could have skipped her until college at least, and the. develop their romance.

I thought I was the only one. I am still "watching" this one having stopped at episode 7 like two or three months ago, because nothing relevant happens. I don't want to completely drop this one, but I don't feel like this one will live to expectations.

If it is a Noona Romance you are looking for, one of my favorites is a sports romance drama called "Nothing But You"

I think he did a great job considering the character is supposed to be "inconsiderate" at first, but shows great character development as the story develops. His plot drags from episode 10 to 50, but that's on the writers and some people enjoy love triangles and a push and pull relationship.

And I deeply appreciate the spoiler since shows with the couple getting together during the last episode are a waste of time, most of the time... We watch romance shows to watch the romance from meeting, to flirting to dating and more, and when writers do this, we are left to our imagination, and if that's the case we definitely wasted our time...

I personally hate love triangles for many different reasons, but one of them is because and when there is too much screentime with the third person which is always a waste of time since the main leads are meant to be together. It doesn't help that we are supposed to believe that the main leads truly love each other when you have one of the leads spending so much time and being too close to this third person.

Hola! I am watching this and having a good time so far! I am on episode 3 and understand the punishment to move the plot, but in my personal opinion she went through enough injustice to justify her rage. If these "deities" were really fair, they wouldn't punish her but themselves for allowing so much corruption and injustice...
