It seems to be option A. I am giving this one a try, and I am on season 1, but while she constantly rejects the guy, he is still a close friend and is always hovering round her and claiming her or marking his territory one way or the other. To be fair, at least on season 1, this seems to be the only way how ML shows some interest for her out of "jealousy" I guess...
It does not make it better that the guy is still hovering around her after she got married for season 2. If I can, I prefer no love triangles, but if there is a love triangle, I prefer it to be useful to the plot or character development and exit the story as soon as the love triangle is solved, but it seemed like they recycled the love triangle from season 1 in this one.

I finally started watching season one, and while is the best version compared to other versions where I couldn't help but to drop them soon after the first episodes, I am having a hard time with season 1.
I understand that the whole dynamic and "charm" is about this "tsundere" guy pushing FL away, while she just keeps pushing regardless of how much she suffers in the process coated with comedy, but one thing is being tsundere and not showing your real feelings, and another one is to enjoy her suffering until you selfishly decide to keep on the hook making a move on her... That's just evil.
What I hate the most right now by episode 9 of season 1, is that not only FL has no self respect, but male lead seems to be kinda dating this other girl. The worst part is that FL does not have a good rebound because the guy that likes her could not be more annoying.
Knowing that later on, he will freaking "engaged" to somebody else does not help in the slightest. I am doing my best to push through, not take things too seriously, try to enjoy the comedy and brace myself in hopes that season 2 will be worth it, but it is hard...
I am one step away from just skipping through the episodes and just start the special episode and then season 2, because the thing I hate the most in dramaland is when the main leads date somebody else...
Does Marriage mean nothing in Japan? I have seen a few Japanese dramas now where regardless of the girl having a boyfriend or husband, they get a guy going openly after them while completely disregarding not only that she is in a relationship or even more, married or that they are constantly being rejected... I think this season has some of that, which I plan to skip if it really ever happens. I would love writers to understand that plot and character development is better than unnecessary break ups, misunderstandings and love triangles.

I agree. I get that they try to make it "all worth it" when he accepts their relationship, but that doesn't erase or justify how he abused and hurt his own son and the whole family of her dead wife's best friend and her son's lover...
I actually appreciate romance a lot more when this is the case, because there is no need to use classic annoying tropes like unnecessary break ups and love triangles. However, some writers may still fall for the temptation of using these elements. That being said, does this show has a love triangle or any break up between the main leads?

I knew all these answers but I cannot remember now... people will tell you that this is not a "romance" drama, but they are wrong! The plot is not only about romance, but romance is very important and drives character development and part of the plot.

I agree. I feel like a lot of shows suffer from this; the romance is way better before the main leads get together, and only gets boring or interesting from the moment they start dating...
