Taiwan has had nothing to do with China since 1895, so we don't like being called Chinese, and we don't like having our own diverse culture, in which Chinese elements are just a small part of many different identities, lumped together as "Chinese". Culturally, Taiwan has more in common with Japan than with China.

This show is surprisingly good, lots of interesting characters, fast-paced plot and great cast.

The film is a remake of the Taiwanese film "You are the Apple of my Eye (那些年，我們一起追的女孩)", based on the autobiographical novel by Taiwanese writer Giddens Ko, In the Taiwanese version, not only did they run around the house naked, but there was a scene of group masturbation in the dormitory and other juicy stuff typical of Taiwanese culture, which was removed from the more conservative Thai remake.

Not a lot of new material, so they just keep repeating what they've got to save a little time.

For me it was a 3/10, the whole story doesn't make any sense, and Perth's cute face isn't able to help much.

While watching ep.5 I also thought about Bad Buddy and how much better the whole story was and how it allowed both leads to shine. Regrettably, Dangerous Romance is much closer to the school BL of 2014/15, when Thai BL was just starting to shape it's stories.

I understand it's for world building, but there's not much plot outside of that, and then there's the bizarre English dialogue.

Nonkul has done so many series in Thailand and China, it's been surprising that there are still people who don't know him. He's in the top league.

Fortunately I'm only one our after the Bangkok Time, and can watch it in the evening.

Their acting skills are way better than JoongDunk level.
