This drama is a must watch!

Coming from someone who hasn’t really finished a lot of kdramas, I surprisingly binged through this one. I am absolutely devastated that I finished this. It was probably one of the best stories I’ve ever watched. I am normally not a big fan of family-themed dramas, but this one is hands down amazing!
I would recommend this to literally anyone. It’s got an intricate plot that keeps you invested the whole series. The acting was top tier too! Honestly this was just really well done.
I hope they make a season two but it’s probably unlikely. I just love their wholesome family so much! If anything is stopping you from watch this, forget the hesitation and give it a go. It’s probably one of the best dramas I have ever watched tbh!
There was nothing about this that was bad, like I can’t even think of anything. And you know what, I’m giving this a 10/10 since it is so well deserved! I have never rated anything a 10/10 before, so this will be my first. I can’t wait to watch this again in the future

Even a kdrama hater will love this show!

To be honest, I’m not very big on watching kdramas, especially when they are over 16 episodes. Most of the time I never even finish the full 16 and just stop watching altogether. However, this show was not the case!
I remember starting to watch this a while back and even though I did enjoy it, I only managed to watch up until episode 14 before forgetting that I was watching it. I later went to watch other dramas and didn’t bother coming back to watch it for a long time.
It was then that I managed to convince my sister (who has never seen a k drama in her life and refuses to watch them) to watch this entire series from start to finish.
I must say, it was definitely worth finishing! This is probably one of the best written k dramas I’ve watched, not to mention the amount of effort put into the sets must have been crazy. For both me (a person who doesn’t usually finish kdramas) and my sister (a kdrama hater) to completely binge watch a show, I would consider it to be nothing short of a masterpiece!

I honestly cannot recommend this enough! I can’t wait to rewatch this show over and over again :D

my remaining bit of innocence is gone lmao-

I had pretty high expectations from this show and I was certainly not disappointed. It was one of those shows that the plot was so over the place that it made me wanna watch more. I couldn’t not finish it.
Although the plot was a little questionable, like almost too abstract, it was still very good. I was never bored.
Bible is also a very good actor and I think all of them did a good job portraying their characters.
I must say though, the amount of red flags throughout this series was crazy. Literally, not a single character was even remotely nice. I’m not complaining though!
I swear though, almost every episode had an explicit scene. I felt as if I shouldn’t be watching it, if u know what I mean lmao- Like why did Tonkla always want it raw 😭😭😭?! This was one of those shows that I made sure to watch at night. The amount of questionable scenes would be too risky to watch out in broad daylight.
Anyways, I quite enjoyed this series. I have some opinions about the ending, but other than that it was pretty decent!

Okay so it wasn’t the worst hour of my life-

Yes, I clicked on this randomly. It happened to pop up under another show I was watching and since I was bored I was like ‘why not?’. I thought this would be like a real series, not that’s it’s not a real series- but certainly not the length of a short movie.
You can say that I was surprised when they started kissing like 30 minutes in and I thought ‘isn’t this the first episode? why are they randomly confessing their love to each other?!’
I simply cannot believe that the dark brown haired dude (yeah idk his name lmao) actually fell for blonde dude so fast. Like how?! They spent half of the show hating and bullying each other (looking at u blonde dude), just for them to start making out. No way am I believing that, not even if the acting was okay.
I was expecting this to be a much longer series but I was just very disappointed when I finished the ‘first two episodes’ and there was no more episodes. If I wanted to watched a bl with no plot and basic acting I would just finish one of the many series I have On hold instead of wasting my time with something like this.
Honestly, I didn’t hate it per say… I just didn’t need to watch this.

Interesting editing… but entertaining nonetheless

Okay how did Keita not debut?! Like he was in the top 9 like the entire time- what happened guys? 😭
Also Jay not debuting was so disappointing.
I would never replace any one of the zb1 members now, but I was pretty shocked that suddenly Ricky made the top 9 in the last episode, and not even the bottom of top 9! He really surprised! I mean, congratulations to him but I was not expecting him to beat some of the others. Love Ricky though he’s so funny! I’m glad people saw how talented he is!
I mean, I watched this show after already knowing zb1, so I knew who was gonna debut, but still the rankings surprised. I did not watch boys planet when it was airing and had no idea who they were when I unironically saw them live barely even a month after their debut. I must say, I wish I knew them back then too lol.
This show really made me try to hate Matthew- like what was that editing. I feel so bad for him- I feel like he never got the positions he wanted even though he’s so talented. Although I have to admit that his French in the first episode gave me second hard embarrassment 😂. In Canada you are required to take French class in school, but they really don’t teach you that much, especially when it comes to grammar. Ah I’m glad Matthew debuted though!
Also, the entire show was literally just Hao and Hanbin being so obviously gay for each other (not actually, but u know what I mean). Like I can’t even defend them for what happened during the show. I liked the part when they were doing that musical thing and the hosts were like ‘already now we’re gonna give u time to find a partner and u have to hold their hand when you find one’ and then Hao and Hanbin instantly grabbed each other’s 😂. I swear like every time the camera panned to them they were holding hands lmao. I didn’t expect them to be so attached to each other during the show, like I had heard things about them on the show but didn’t think it was this obvious. Hopefully they remain close (friends…?) in the future, even if zb1 don’t renew their contract (😭😭😭).
I quite liked this show, despite the editing and ofc the rigged parts. Like how did Rui get eliminated before the final?! He was no doubt one of the best dancers on the show. I would have definitely voted for him. Luckily he got to preform Over me and I still actively listen to it.
Hao beating Hanbin in the end was so wholesome though! He really deserved it.

If you like zb1, you should definitely watch this show it’s a must! But just be warned that it’s kinda obvious who the members are gonna be right off the bat.

Was not very surprised.

I have a lot to say about this. Actually this was the first survival show besides the one for &Team which I watched. I don’t really like the idea of survival shows, typically because I know they’re gonna pick based on looks. Anyways here are some of my thoughts on trainees:

Mr Kim Sungmin, the guy who miraculously passed the first audition with Hype boy:
There were countless talented trainees on the show and yet for some reason Sungmin was automatically ranked high at first. Sure, he definitely did not deserve it at first, but after watching the show progress my opinions changed. I was completely shocked with how far he came with like no training. He went from not being able to dance, to doing complicated performances that weren’t easy for any of the contestants. I actually really like his voice as he started to learn how to sing. I have high hopes for him and I have a feelings he will do well as an idol.

Yeojun, Mr too good looking:
Looks? He’s got it. Stage presence? Immaculate. Talent? Definitely! At first I didn’t really know who this guy was, but in the later episodes I really did root for him. I prayed that he would debut and was very happy when he was announced. I wasn’t able to vote at the time, I think I might’ve voted for him. I don’t really have any negatives about him, he’s honestly probably gonna be my bias in the new group.

Seungho, the guy I didn’t know existed:
I’m sorry but almost the entire show I didn’t know who he was. He didn’t particularly stand out to me in comparison to the other contestants. Now looking about on it I can see the hype, but was he really more talented than guys like Youngseo and Binghua? Idk about that. I didn’t really think he would debut, but I’m sure he’s gonna be an amazing idol nevertheless.

Kyoungbae:
Bro is younger than me and it’s kinda scary. I didn’t know he was so little. I mean I can’t really be talking but even idols born in 2007 make me feel old, let alone 2008. He’s cute, he’s got the charm. I expected him to debut pretty early on. For being self taught I think he’s literally so talented! He’s got a bright future for sure.

Minwookie:
I didn’t know he was so old, actually I thought he was more like an 02 liner. I’m certainly not complaining though because I thought he would surely place like second place. I admire him for pursuing his dream, despite being almost too old to properly debut. His rapping is amazing too! I kinda hope he becomes the leader or the main rapper!

Kenshin!:
He’s so cute, like absolutely adorable! His audition was also really good (I think he won me over with the skz song lol)! Was he a bit overrated… probably yeah. He is definitely gonna be an amazing idol though!

Ma JingXiang:
I’ve know his name since like the first episodes. He was always so talented and stood out not only by appearance but skill as well. His voice may even be my favorite in the group. He definitely deserved winning, but I didn’t even know if he was gonna debut since he wasn’t initially ranked very high. I was actually in shock when he won. No joke, I was fully convinced Kenshin would win.

Some honorable mentions to my favs:
Kang Minseo - how the heck did he get eliminated before the final?! When I first laid eyes upon him I was like certain he would debut. He’s so handsome and talented! I hope he achieves his dreams in the future.
Lee Hanbin - the funniest guy on the damn show. Oh my god I literally love his personality! Also he really stood out to me in Love me or Leave me. His voice is too good to not become an idol. I knew he was gonna debut, but still I had my hopes…
Wu Chenyu - this guy was pretty sweet! I think he deserved to stay longer for sure!
Lynnlynn - ahh another comedic relief! He is not only really talented but is so goofy and I love it! He better debut some day pleaseeee
Yi-Chen - idk I quite liked him in the end. I know he really wants to be an idol and I hope his dreams come true!
Binghua - I love how he was busy putting on make up first thing in the morning and ended up being like the last one to arrive lmao- that was when I first noticed him! I secretly hoped he would debut too
Youngseo - best singer hands down. His voice reminds me a lot of Enhypen as a group. He needs to debut asap!

Honestly I could probably make comments about like everyone lmao-
Anyways, I was alright with the final lineup, even though it was very expected. Umm the group named though is a bit let’s just say unique… even my cat could come up with a better name let’s be honest.

I had high hopes for this series

Before I jump into this, I’m just gonna say that I really did enjoy this drama and it was an entertaining watch. There was not a single episode that felt too boring for me either.
I’m gonna start with the good things:
The actors/acting of everyone - This story’s acting felt so genuine practically the whole time. Just by the way the leads looked at each other conveyed so many emotions without them saying a word. Something about this factor made the series more compelling and realistic (I’ll talk more on realism in a sec).
The plot - The premise of the story was very good! I really liked how the characters disabilities were portrayed. Not once did it occur to me that these actors can in fact hear because the way both Kohei and Maya acted was so convincing.

Now, here’s where things kinda fell off for me:
What romance? - Come on now, the faked camera angle?! I thought Japan was progressing and yet the actors can’t kiss? I know in the manga the kiss wasn’t exactly shown, but that’s because it’s a damn manga, not a TV series lol! I’m sorry but the actors could not convince me that they were really in love with each other.. not with that awkward hug scene too 😭. They looked more like close friends who cared about each other rather than lovers (just my opinion though)
Next, yes the plot was good, but I’m a bit confused. Like wasn’t Kohei’s hearing declining? Why did it suddenly stop declining? I was really interested to know what was happening to him, but everything seemed to lead up to nothing since I still don’t understand.
I wished they had given more clarity on Kohei’s situation.

Either way, it was still a decent series and I would recommend!

I’m speechless-

I started binge watching this drama a while ago when i was unwell and ended up watching probably over half of the series. Despite liking it, I kinda forgot about it as other series caught my interest. After many months, I finally decided to sit down and finish- and let me tell you… Once I started watching the episodes I just couldn’t stop! I thought the drama would die down, but no it was just the beginning!
Personally my favorite scenes will always be that one where Kinn and Porche are stuck together in the forest, but I must say that the second half of the series also had some amazing scenes.
Where do I even start….?
1. The quality?! The budget for this show?! I have no idea how much this would’ve costed but this was and probably is to this day one of the best bls in terms of cinematography. All of the fight scenes were just top notch!
2. Alright let’s talk about the secondary couple, Porchay and Kim. Honestly I did quite like them, but when I originally started watching this series it didn’t compare to Kinn and Porche, not even close. But I did start to like them more later on- I just wasn’t really satisfied with the ending they got.
3. Let’s talk plot. Cousins?! They’re cousins?! Come on now- that’s not the plot twist we were looking for lmao! Idk the plot was definitely something. It was a bit all over the place and kinda unpredictable but not at the same time. Either way, I still really liked it so the confusion and oddities made it better in a way.
4. Kinn and Porche… I must say, the chemistry between them was so good throughout the first half of the series, but for me it kinda fell off after they got together. Idk why but I really liked the love-hate relationship they had. It was actually interesting! Once they got together I didn’t find it as exciting- almost boring in a sense. There were even a couple sex scenes I skipped in the last few episodes because I just wanted to know what happened to the other characters…
SPECIFICALLY-
5. Vegas and Pete! So when I stoped watching this series I didn’t understand the hype with these guys, since I hadn’t gotten to the whole ‘pet’ part. But let me tell you- these guys are who made me finish this entire series! They carried the last few episodes with so much suspense that I couldn’t even give a care about whatever the heck Kinn and Porche were doing in that rooftop pool lol! I KNOW- it’s so bad… it’s so bad… Vegas is literally unforgivable… BUT- damn I just wanted things to work out for them so bad. I was so scared that Vegas would keep hurting Pete- like he was so unpredictable in a sense that I knew when he was gonna lash out at Pete but in my head I was begging him to give up and let himself be vulnerable with Pete. I could go on and on about how much I was invested in them! I literally skipped most of the ending of the series just to figure out what happened to Vegas. I got so scared when the ending credits started playing and I was like ‘WHAT ABOUT PETE AND VEGAS?!’- luckily the ending was saved but I desperately wanted more ahhhhh

Anyways, this series is 100% worth the watch! (Also just a side note but Jeff’s songs for this OST are amazing!)

It’s kinda forgettable…?

I’m going to keep this pretty short since I don’t have a whole lot to say about this drama.
Was it bad? No. Was it lacking? Yes.
I’m not sure what it is about this drama that made it so forgettable to me. Like the amount of times I looked at my watchlist and wondered what this show was isn’t even funny (at this point I had already watched most of it too). I did watch it in probably 3 sittings or so, but that still shouldn’t mean that I can’t even remember watching this. I have watched a lot of Bls in the past and have probably never had one like this where I just completely forgot about it although. I left it midway through the last episode and finally decided to finish it and get it out of the way. I was honestly indifferent throughout most of the whole thing. It had its good parts and I think the actors did a good job, but the story just wasn’t it for me.
It’s hard to explain why I just didn’t really enjoy this show, and tbh I probably will not rewatch it at all.

You either like it or you don’t.

I honestly didn’t think I’d be finishing this series anytime soon, but here we are. As someone who was new to Thai bl when I started watching this, I had very mixed opinions. I wasn’t very intrigued by the plot at the time and I had so many other bls on my watchlist that I just completely stopped watching this all together after about 4-5 episodes.
I think it really depends on the person. The plot is a bit rough at first, but when I did eventually return to this series I became really invested into it. I did NOT expect to like this one, let alone binge the rest of the entire show within a couple of days. I must admit that I did not like this show at first cause I felt there wasn’t enough plot, but then the series picks up about midway through and gets good.
Does this have plot holes? Yes absolutely. But it’s super entertaining and keeps you on the edge of your seat nearer the end.
I won’t give anything away, but I actually cried like twice while watching this. No normal drama can make me cry! I can’t even remember the last time one did! I must give it to the amazing actors who did such a good job with portraying their characters and emotions. Like, this series isn’t even that sad, but the actors were just so emotional that I started getting emotional too lmao-

If you’re thinking about watching this I would go for it, but be warned because the first few episodes may be misleading since the series does get much more intense and interesting as it goes on. I know there are a lot of negative reviews on here, but I actually did really enjoy this in the end, despite the rocky start :)

It was cute and all, but…

As someone who has watched my fair share of Bls, this one definitely fell a bit short for me. If it weren’t for the fact that I quite like the actors Phuwin and Pond, I probably would not have watched this in the first place. Unless you like the actors, I wouldn’t recommend watching this one (unless you’re bored lol). It’s not bad per say, it’s just that there are so many better Bls out there. If you like the main actors you can also watch the series Never Let Me Go or We Are instead because both are better.

What I liked:
Honestly, there isn’t a whole lot. I definitely liked the actors, but there was still something lacking from them in this series (not sure if it was there first together or not). Despite the occasional awkwardness, they both had decent chemistry with each other. I liked the fact that Mork was accepting of Pi during most of the drama and their interactions were fun to watch since they were kinda unpredictable at times. Idk how to explain it, but they were predictable characters and at the same time their disputes were very sudden/unpredictable.
The comedy! The comedy was probably the main thing keeping me going. If you like a simple rom-com then maybe watching this would be more bearable.

What I disliked:
The secondary couple… Were honestly a bit boring. They had better pacing than the main couple, but again there was something missing. I actually ended up skipping most of their scenes because I was so frustrated with how slowly the main couple was progressing. I also disliked the awkward acting during some of the intimate scenes, like i feel like they didn’t really have any good kiss scenes (maybe i just watch too much bl lmao, but still).
Pi’s brother was just plain annoying to me, everything was very dramatic and i feel like sometimes the actor went too far with the character.
I disliked the shippers. Like tf are you doing stalking someone like that. Just ewww. They weren’t funny either. I mean, their acting was good and all, but stalking just doesn’t sit right with me.

Overall, I would still rate this like 7/10 because I can’t lie and say that i didn’t enjoy this. I did enjoy some aspects like the comedy and the actors!
Will i watch this again? Hell nah. But it was still an okay watch and don’t shy away from watching just because not everyone enjoys it :)

Didn’t think it was gonna be good, but wow I was wrong!

I went into this show with little to know expectations. I didn’t know the actors, it only had 8 episodes, and overall I was not loving how the plot was described on here. I must have been bored one day, because I did end up starting it out of curiosity.
It turned out to be nothing like I expected at all. What I initially thought was the plot was not exactly the case, it took me by surprise. Within the first episode alone I noted how good the acting was. Not only that, but once I got to episode 2 I was shocked to see how well the actors portrayed completely different characters. Every single character in this series felt unique, I found it hard to pinpoint similarities. That really goes to show how good the acting was.
This series has everything. From happy relationships to tragedy. I haven’t cried over a series as much as this one in so long. Bring tissues lol
I was also skeptical at first, since in the first two episodes the characters aren’t intimate with each other, but it all made sense later on, despite me thinking that the actors weren’t gonna be good at those types of scenes. Actually, I thought they were really well done. It felt like art to me, especially the cinematography throughout the whole series. Every moment that was supposed to be emotional really hits you, unlike some other bl series where the music and sound effects ruins it all. This series has none of that, but in a good way.
Out of all of the series that have aired so far this year, I would definitely put this one in my top 3 without a second doubt.
If you are hesitant about watching it, just go for it! Either way, it will be worth the watch!

I’m going to miss this show…

This show literally became my comfort show as I returned every Wednesday to watch the next episode.
At first I was very skeptical of this series, especially due to the fact that I initially thought there were too many couples, so I was like ‘there’s no way I’m gonna watch this!”…
Despite having multiple couples this show probably does one of the best jobs I’ve ever seen of giving pretty balanced screen time to the characters. I never felt as though there weren’t enough scenes with the more main couples and I never got bored of watching the side couple interactions.
Honestly, AouBoom stole the show for me! I just love their dynamic so much and I can’t even explain it (they need their own drama rn!). I think all of the actors did a great job with this series! There wasn’t a single couple that I didn’t like!
The plot itself wasn’t exactly very deep when it comes to the series, however there were other elements that made up for it. For me to have watched this entire thing through without taking any long breaks goes to show that it really was such a sweet series.
Also the friendship- I just love the fun atmosphere of the group of actors as they portray such a big group of friends. It makes me also want to have fun like they do!

Idk if school dramas are really my thing, but this show was certainly different. It kinda reminds me of the old bl series in a way I can’t quite explain. Either way, I’m really gonna miss this series 😭😭😭

It got better and better!

I’m not gonna lie, but the first two episodes of this series are a mess. I honestly thought this series was complete trash after even the first episode so I dropped it for a long time. Too many things happened in the first episode, not going to spoil, but from relationship drama to a variety of different emotions from the characters. For me, I didn’t like it at all, and it was feeling like another Only Friends-type drama (no hate to Only Friends, but it’s just not really my kind of series). A while later, I was bored and decided I would watch it while I worked since that’s usually what I do with shows I’m indifferent towards, however… I WAS SO WRONG!

I did not except that I would binge a series like this in just over a day! Honestly, it was worth giving it another shot. I became so invested in the relationship drama that I just had to watch the entire thing. I love the actors and I think their acting was very well done (hope to see them in future dramas)! Usually with bl series I start to get bored after the couple starts dating, but for these guys (who technically weren’t officially dating for a while) I never got bored! The series was unpredictable, in a good way. Lots of conflict could have been avoided in so many situations, but the show always settled for the worst outcome, which I found very entertaining. The characters were annoying at times, especially when it came to communication, but I think it was understandable due to their rocky past experiences with each other.

To put into perspective, I had this rated like a 6/10 when I first started watching it (which is very low for me), and now look where it is lol! If you are going to watch it, make sure you give it 4-5 episodes before you drop it since the series may start off not so great but it certainly gets better.
