Yes, the two worlds are shown. This man had everything--parental love and support, education overseas, money, career support, friends, yet he never gave anything back. He just think he was being controlled.

OTOH, XY had nothing--no parental love or support, them snatching her overseas education away, no career support or friends, yet she gave and gave just to get some people to "choose" her. Her parents never chose her; at her job, they always chose that biotch. When HM chose her, she couldn't help but want to keep him no matter what.
