I am not a strong swimmer and have a healthy dose of fear in deep water. I am so impressed with Zhao Lusi who…
And yet, she gets criticized in a certain review that her hair was too perfect because sea water and slavery is just bad, bad, bad for the hair and skin, don'tchaknow. And that slaves didn't swim like mermaids in the sea, don'tchaknow. I just cannot. #eyeroll
The tension is building up and there is a lot of questions to answer. Is anyone lowkey into CSJ and Zheng dude's…
I also think DW did soften up a lot, which was a bit of a contradiction for me. She suffered so much as a kid and then, after her escape, she suffered loss after loss of friends whom she considered family. One would think she would be a bit more ruthless as she met more schemers in her path, but strangely, she began to sort of changed ala the direction of ZJR, depending on by the book (court stuff) to get the justice. Of course, when she did finally lose her cool, I enjoyed her so much more.
Why is this Zheng Wu letting CSJ run the show? Did I miss something like the guy is already blindly in love that…
I think they are interesting characters. One was a di-nue, legit daughter of the family and she ended up a side piece. The other was a side-piece son and he ended up the main son. Yet, through it all, they both wanted the same thing--their parent's approval and both didn't care the price for their loyalty. Zheng Wu came close to understanding that his self-value should be higher and maybe he thought having the legit daughter of the Cui family loving him was proof of this, but when CSJ told him the truth of her feelings for him, everything went south again. Their journey would not create jade or emerald or pearl, but just tears.
Pearl Girl was Jewelry Girl
