Why is this Zheng Wu letting CSJ run the show? Did I miss something like the guy is already blindly in love that…
I think they are interesting characters. One was a di-nue, legit daughter of the family and she ended up a side piece. The other was a side-piece son and he ended up the main son. Yet, through it all, they both wanted the same thing--their parent's approval and both didn't care the price for their loyalty. Zheng Wu came close to understanding that his self-value should be higher and maybe he thought having the legit daughter of the Cui family loving him was proof of this, but when CSJ told him the truth of her feelings for him, everything went south again. Their journey would not create jade or emerald or pearl, but just tears.
U will only glare at him for max 5-6 episodes. Definitely not after that. He seems mean to FL. U will find it…
Yes, but his expression changing is a beautiful thing to watch when he started to have feelings. The pay off is good (the scene where he punishes the bad guys for hurting her).

LOL I understood. Yes, there are many romance tropes (and not just C-Dramas but other countries too) that make me gnash my teeth. The other one is the Big Misunderstanding trope that could be solve with one short conversation LOL.

At first, but once he saw how smart she was, he started giving her a little leeway. And then BOOM! Romance happened, LOL. However, it's an up and down relationship, so if you hate the noble idiot trope as much as I do, you might have to grit your teeth a little again after that, heh.
But they mostly talk about their looks all the time. I don't even think they really watched the drama. Everything…
Yes, I've read some of those comments repeated under every positive comment, almost like spam. And they're always general comments, like the actors are "ugly and the acting is horrible and the camera is all wrong, but I'm still a fan." Like I said, it's a form of mental spamming and I'm tired of them, so I just tune them out.
I come in here and everyone loves this drama and can't wait for the next episode. Then I read comments elsewhere…
But they mostly talk about their looks all the time. I don't even think they really watched the drama. Everything is about how ugly or how thin or the lighting or the makeup.... I get so tired of it. Some do say it's a slow drama, but compared to what? Compared to that Other Show, yes, it's slower but it's a different genre. However, compared to some of the epic historicals following the journey of a main character (let's say, The Sword and The Brocade), this drama is quite fast-paced, so fast that some of us here think we'd missed some plot points.
