Your passion for our couple is well-known, haha. No worries, everyone has their own reactions. We've discussed how gray characters and gray morals in a drama elicit different lines to cross for different people because the viewers are colored by their lenses of experience.
Think of it as a fun thing to see the different shades of grey coming from such a vast audience and think of how wonderful the director and writer are to be able to get that kind of viewer response! I'd love it if my writing could set off such a windfall of love and hate because it means people are watching/reading and emotionally involved.
I've read through many of the same posts you have and have been entertained by this spectrum. Except for a few trolls and odd ones, it's kinda cool!

Yes, I have the thoughts you do too. I’m enjoying the two main characters showing their real selves once they didn’t have act calculating all the time to each other.
I think the Director wanted to show how two individuals could be like if they were freed from deception and societal pressure. XY wouldn’t have please anyone other than herself and HM didn’t have to calculate every action like a transaction.
Also, I kept imagining, even if these two had remained calculating and ambitious within their relationship, with XY let’s say being a social climber and HM being all about a perfect trophy wife relationship, they would still have been the power couple! 🤣
