Hahaha. I really doubt u are older than me based on the way ur talking. u sound like a child trying to argue until the end and u seem to unable to see things from different perspectives. Assuming ppl know less than u do just cause u have a set mind is not a sign of maturity either.
But like I mentioned before (incase u were able to comprehend it):
No one is saying rape is ok. And in asian shows it is often used. There will be ppl who cannot accept it. If it really bothers to the point where u have to complain about it constantly then the best way is to avoid thai series. If u dont see it u wont have anything that bothers you. If you dont want to stop watching then I guess the other option is to just accept that these scenes will be used.
If u were really mature enough u would understand that

No one is saying rape is ok in any way. U are making it sound like asians have a perspective that rape is ok
If (according to ur own words) you are THAT uncomfortable watching shows that have violence and drugs (western ones) and rape (asian ones) I suggest u stop watching asian shows too cause it is used often. Rape is an insult and violation to a persons dignity and person .It is used often in asian shows to show the severity of what is happening and not what is acceptable.
U do realize that the average cases of rape in western cultures are higher than in asian ones right? Its not about what is shown on TV/movies/books its the cultural education. These scenes are allowed to be in shows because the govt knows the ppl have enough knowledge of what is not acceptable and cannot be done without consequences. Its ironic if u think about it; in asia where rape is shown the crime rate of rape is lower than western countries where it is not shown.
But I think u should stop watching asian shows too. It will make u feel better and less uncomfortable. U wont have to see such scenes and be bothered by them and need to complain of having seen them in shows

no one said its a UNIVERSAL asian thing. But this is done in korea , japan, thailand and china. Mostly this is done as a sign of closeness and is a duty done by wives/spouses. Its considered a cultural duty. (and yes, I am asian)

In a way its the cultural style of making TV series/movies. For asians they might think western shows/movies have too much violence, swearing, suicide, use of drugs. They might feel uncomfortable watching western shows. Which is why in most asian shows u dont see the use of drugs as much as western shows.

In Thailand, do people wipe down their drunk friends (who they secretly like) with wet towels or is it just fanservice?…
Its an asian thing. its not about wether u like that person. Its done so they are cleaner before going to bed and helps them feel slightly more comfortable. Its not done outta secret admiration or anything. But this is normally done only if u are close to that person. in this case Ton caring for his little bro

In regards to your "every character is gay" thing... typically you tend to hang out with people who are similar…
I think u missed that comments point
Its not that there are groups of gay ppl that doesnt make sense. its the fact that they turned straight characters gay one after the other. Techno first and now Champ. (yes I know Techno's story from Love By Chance)
That is obviously a marketing scheme for the fan fics. And its stupid if they do it to all the side characters
This series is rather boring and has plot problems:
-They have been together for 7 years yet this series is portraying issues they encounter as if it were the first time. How can 2 jealous ppl be together for 7 years and never have had issue about potential 3rd parties trying to get in between them?
-The simple plot of Tharn wanting them to publicize their relationship and Type not wanting. Or their issues as a couple shouldnt take 12 eps to resolve.
-so many side couples that are irrelevant to to the main story. They are put their just to be potential spin offs depending on viewer reaction
-I know this is a BL series but turning every character gay is stupid. First Techno now Champ. Whose next? Type's dad? Type's boss?
-Every episode Tharn and Type fight/argue or encounter a problem that "threatens" their 7 yr old relationship, but forgive each other really quickly and suddenly then give viewers some fan service scenes like making out or being lovey dovey. Then another issue comes up towards the end of the episode that leads to them having problems and ends by being a cliffhanger. Then next ep they are problem free really quickly and the cycle starts again.
Its basically 12 eps of the same plot but put in a different scenario. 12 times they will argue, forgive each other, get intimate, then fight again. They should have renamed the series "TharnType 2: 12 episodes of a snooze fest" Its a cliched series with nothing new or captivating.

I think many ppl are being a bit harsh on this series.
This is meant to be a somewhat goofy romantic comedy and not a romantic drama like TOL or ITSAY. So ofcourse many situations and scenarios are exaggerated.
I know most ppl are complaining about Ton and his dad's attitude towards being gay, but its not too far off from reality from traditional families (especially asian one) who dont have much contact or understanding of homosexuality. But again; its a COMEDY series, they are somewhat exaggerating things for the show's purpose.

I'm happy enough to look past all the hows and whys of the whole faked demise plot and just go with it, but yeah,…
Its a BL. The first part (the movie) was a BL. How can it not be? Step brothers falling for each other only to be torn apart by their family. And one sacrificing himself in part to protect the other outta love. This story touches on most taboo BL topics lol

Exactly. Can you imagine Bank going to the grave for 5 years and grieving and feeling guilty? 5 years......and they expect him to be "normal" lol
On My Bromance 2: 5 Years Later Dec 12, 2020
Ok, am I the only person who thinks the plot of the story has some major flaws?
Golf pretended to be dead for 5 years...ok....But the family actually made a grave and got other ppl to join in on this plot just so that Golf and Bank can reunite 5 yrs later? Isnt that kinda over elaborate? I get the family has some money but to arrange an empty grave with a tombstone and all.
And even in the original movie it was weird that Golf died suddenly and the family could get everyone in on the scam.
Golf just appearing in broad day light in public to Bank and expecting Bank to be ok, how unrealistic can that be? Any normal person would be in shock. But Golf was disappointed with Banks reaction.
I was looking forward to this sequel but after watching ep 1 im not impressed with the plot
On Dark Blue Kiss Dec 8, 2020
Nothing exciting, nothing special. A very generic series with cliche plot....Guys dating and fight alot cause one is the jealous type. Throw in a 3rd person trying to mess their relationship up and the rest writes itself. The side couple..Sun and Mork, not really worth the time to watch and their story is just as predictable and cliched.

The ending is kinda stupid....So Thailand becomes a country where every high school student has some sorta power....EXCEPT Korn.....
Doesnt that make him the one and only "loser" of his generation?

The one concern I have for season 2 is the potential product placement/advertisements. Thai TV series have this bad habit. Once a series does really well, sponsors will jump onto the next season and push their products REALLY heavily. For instance in "Love by Chance S2" the advertisements showed up randomly and really frequently during the show. Characters were in the show basically just to sell the products. Sotus 2, The Gifted S2, Make it Right S2, etc...so many series became 45min commercials
Even though Lays was seen occasionally during season 1 of ITSAY it wasnt bothersome or affected the story telling. I hope season 2 wont be ruined by this trending habit of sponsorship
If u watch their special "A Chance to Live Graduation Party: on WeTV u will see that even that special was boring. The actors are just not into it. There's hardly any atmosphere. And there if no effort into the show itself. Plan and Mean dont seem committed. The others are just killing time snacking and barely getting involved. Its a reflection of their attitude and love for the project they have been working on together. They simply dont care that much.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet. So the scene where Oh and Teh are playing around at night on the beach and Oh puts a hibiscus onto Tehs head has a specific meaning too. According to a comment I read, putting a hibiscus on the left side means you wish that person will find someone to love. While putting it on the right side is a sign of declaring your love for that person. Which is why Oh looped around and put it on the right side. (I'm not sure how accurate the meaning is as the person who wrote it didn't speak English too well). But I thought that was an interesting point to share
