New on NGN: 3/14/2020. A kinda odd fruit grown in Wakayama-ken, "Finger Lime." Pretty niche stuff. Guest is Ichimura Masachika, who was recently divorced from Shinohara Ryoko this past July. March 2020 feels like a lifetime ago.
New on NGN: 3/7/2020. Soba in Nikko, Tochigi-ken. Guest is Bakarhythm, a first timer for this show which is kinda remarkable. You'd think he'd be on this kinda show all the time. Anywell, the soba is simple and looks awesome.
New on NGN: 2/29/2020. Mushroom in Chiba-ken, Katori-shi. Guests are Tomosaka Rie -- haven't seen her in decades! -- and Nishio Mari. I thought they were going to just dump mushrooms in some larger dish but they really just ate the mushrooms by themselves, prepared in simple ways.
Latest on NGN: 12/9/2017. Eifuku-cho and Hamadayama in Suginami-ku. Guests are returnee Adachi Rika and another comedy duo, TKO. Adachi is cute as always. The comedy dudes... well, they're not boring at least.
New on NGN: 2/22/2020. Aizu Wakamatsu in Fukushima-ken. Guest is IKKO whom is neither here nor there. And they're harvesting toro negi, a really huge and thick leek veggie. They love to bite into these things right after being uprooted -- crazy town.
Anywell it's always what they make with it. Being a winter episode, they truly kick it into high gear. The gyoza and nabe dishes look killer.
Latest on NGN: 11/25/2017. Kokubunji and Kunitachi. Guests: my number-one fave Imori Miyuki and Yoshimura Takashi, someone who has been on before but I don't recall/know at all.
New on NGN: 2/15/2020. Today's ingredient is Iga-Gyu Horumon (or as I like to put it, "guts"). The setting is Nabari-shi in Mie-ken but we're told this is the area where the legendary Iga ninja used to train. All the coolness (RIP Chiba Shinichi, presumably the most famous ninja in Western eyes).
A trio get to eat with Daisuke, the winner of some women's comedy competition. I guess separating by gender is still the norm these days, like the Academy Awards. Anyway, there's a whole lotta "innards" being grilled and simmered. But the best IS saved for last, a cow piece I wouldn't necessarily classify as "horumon."
New on NGN: 2/8/2020. Tako in Ibaraki-ken! Guest is Watanabe Yoichi, a serious war photographer but someone who always brings a goofy, light-hearted personality to the show. The tako here is scrumptious and meaty.

Latest on NGN: 11/11/2017. Shirokane Takanawa and Shirokanedai. More trendy area, it looks like. Another comedian joins Ariyoshi and Shopan for the first time, Takahashi Shigeo. Looks like a veteran of all these variety shows. The other guest is on regular rotation: Wakatsuki Chinatsu.
New on NGN: 2/1/2020. It's Tokyo udo, one of those stalky veggies but this one is grown underground in a cavernous environment. Guest is ye olde comedian dude, Gekidan Hitori. Dunno his credentials but he *really* enjoyed the dishes in this episode. Seasoning is everything.
Latest on NGN: 10/28/2017. Shimo Kitazawa, Ariyoshi-kun's old home. Guests are Jinnai Tomonori (becoming a real regular) and Izumi Rika. So comforting to experience Tokyo before the dark times...
New on NGN: 1/25/2020. Wild Iwa Nori in Wajima-shi, Ishikawa-ken. Really country style in the torrid Nihonkai winter. Guest is another hapa model, Yukipoyo. I did an image search and she did NOT disappoint!
Latest on NGN: 9/30/2017. Shiina-machi and Higashi Nagasaki. My old crush finally returns -- Imori Miyuki is THE BEST! Second guest is a comedian dude named Fukawa Ryo, a contemporary of Ariyoshi. As is the case with comedians, I never heard of him before.
Latest NGN: 1/11/2020. Daikon in Miyagi-ken. Guest is Hotta Akane, a lovely lady who I swear I've seen before in other variety programs. Has that model look/aura but seems like a regular gal in this instance. Gotta be different makeup...
Latest on NGN: 9/16/2017 Honjo Azumabashi in Sumida-ku. Kasuga the Entertainer joins Ariyoshi-kun and Shopan, along with another "hafu" model named Okada Sayaka.
New NGN episode: 1/4/2020. Carrots in Yamanashi. Another comedy duo nibbles on carrot stalks. Later a pair of siblings come by to show you how to make your own fermented miso paste at home! (eewwwoooo...)
Latest NGN episode: 12/28/2019. Mozzarella cheese in Chiba-ken, Kisarazu-shi. Comedy duo gets to make the real deal from buffalo (!) milk. Not a whole lotta recipes in this episode though.
