Really enjoying this watch. Though I have to request if someone writes about a spoiler, to mark it. People like me have purposely not viewed the trailers for once. I come here for the commentary and find myself having to scroll quickly when I see a spoiler casually thrown in the open.

I totally agree...too many characters who were new and I didn't care about, and me just waiting for Hyunsu to show up again.

I literally was thinking some of them looked like Autobots lol.

I can't be the only one who was thinking mid way through the show, "Where the hell is Song Kang???" Right? I think my main complaint was his lack of screentime and also the plethora of new characters to keep track of him.

Shu Yi... lies all the time and hides her relationship and just...I've wanted to yell at her through the screen a few times. Shan Shan literally just dismisses Guan Ji who has been approaching her to talk and gives him the cold shoulder and attitude. Shi Yue's whole purpose is just to obsess over You Yu - she has no direction in the life, just a rich nice girl who won't take no for an answer. Why??? And then the writer had the bright idea to introduce a random rival love interest 2/3 of the way into the show??? Not to mention the whole not knowing who the real niece storyline is still dragging on and will cause undoubtedly more drama at this random friend's wedding????

I came to check who the writer was and...I'm disappointed this was written by a woman because ALL OF THE FEMALE characters (minus the big boss) got some annoying issues. The main guys, however, are practically saints minus Guan Ji's playboy past. I was really enjoying maybe the first third of this show and suddenly I have a long list of things I am not liking LOL.

I am hoping that Yu You doesn’t cave and give in to the niece. She’s legitimately at stalker level and she persists even after being told no multiple times. It’s not cute. If the gender roles were reversed, I don’t think anyone would support this obsessive behavior.

Yun Zhi Yu is the name of the sword he gives her. Means Cloud Knows Feathers. Yun, part of her name, means cloud.

I have no idea why they do that in trailers, I hope it's a false alarm.

I would say this show is watchable but not a must show. I think a 7.5 is fair. It's not bad, but it's just... a little all over the place, manufactured, and not much focus on the two main couples.

For real. At least an 8. Out of the shows I've watched this year, I would put it in my top three favorites. I don't know if it is better on a whole than MLC but in terms of enjoyment I rate it above MLC as well. I agree with you on the romance and the female empowerment.

I really enjoyed Egg and Stone and hope more out there will give it a chance.

I think this drama is underrated, but I went into this with no expectations. I felt the like romance scenes were surprisingly well written, better than a lot I've seen. The slapstick silliness starts off strong but it definitely subsides as the show goes on.

I agree that person who responded to you was pretty rude. And I totally agree with you that while the 5 year age difference isn't big, it was definitely portrayed that way in the first so many episodes when they cast a younger actress to play an older character and kept the same actor to play a younger age. So visually ... that looked really off (literally the guy is over twice her age in real life) and I did not think it was endearing at all. I think if you can get past that, you can keep watching.

In the beginning, I was wondering what purpose CX had since XY had TSJ and XL. I had never seen anything with ZWY in it. But 39 episodes later, I can safely say ZWY is an amazing actor. He really is - I love him and didn't plan on it lol.

yeah i had read rumors that it was changed for the drama but literally in the drama they say they share a blood connection, so guess it wasn't changed after all

Finished through 39!! Can't wait for the next season. I absolutely love this show...one of my favorites of this year... also... ZWY and TJC are both hilarious. I laughed out loud so much even when the show wasn't meant to be expressly funny.

Question re: Fang Fang Bei - is he actually related to Yiying? ...but he is also Xiang Liu? Could someone clarify for me? Thanks!
