Powerful msg about love and hope. One of the best time travel stories i have watched, everything has closure and they actually have a good time-loop closing without any loose ends. 10/10. Rewatching again.
Why is this not a 9.0 or more talked about ? I am baffled why this does not have a higher rating ? I’m 4-episodes in and i can’t stop watching. I’ll give full ratings after i finish but i stumbled upon this by chance - i watched ms incognito and was searching what other dramas FL is in… i am so so confused why this drama is not more talked about. Loving every second of it.
Same here, i can keep listing smaller parts as well - i think rounan was born to play this role, sometimes not delivering lines just quiet feels is the best form of acting, plus come on - every frame in this is so beautiful, the lighting really brings out the eyes - she made me believe in that character, i got lost in that world - i wanna keep getting lost in that world, i just wanna hug the main lead in bumping into stuff while sleepwalking or just want ml to just hold her …. Haha, such a great form of romance, watched so many kdrama/cdramas/my own country dramas and english/hindi ones, this has risen to top for me as well. This is like a high-point for me in 2025. I have had a bad year this year, was kinda lost - first got into a better positive mindset watching alchemy of souls then this set me straight - how can i say this …. This made my heart start to flutter again, i think this should be like 9.7 (my book a solid 10) or something. I always give dramas like 6months - go back and rewatch to see if things changed. I’ll do the same with it but i have feeling this will remain my no,1 for a long long time,
I deeply appreciate the kind and thoughtful comments on something we both love, i feel so blessed to have watched this at this point in my life when i was kinda losing faith in love and other stuff. I just want more ppl to appreciate thus masterpiece now.
I’m sure @lizzy knows this, but did you know @hla ? I actually myself did not know until second to last episode the connection between “Hidden Love” and this series, it’s set in the same universe - i was checking out reviews and saw the video from Wendy Minn ( amazing reviewer btw, so pretty as well ….) - to my utter surprise she discussed this, so I checked and started rewatching Hidden Love again, isn’t that beautiful - when hidden love is done i’m rewatching this again. Haha
Made me a believer in cdramas again. Isn’t that amazing ? So beautiful. I find it super cute the connection. So wholesome…
11/10 on sadness scale, story and gripping acting 100/10. I was already depressed, now I’m full-blown manic after watching this, tears will start trickling down if you went down this path.
I can only describe it this way : “It is a beautiful sadness.”
Get some tissue, get the courage - just go through with the series, yes it will get u in the ‘feels’. But you must experience it urself. Let the tears flow and wash away the pain.
I just started watching at am halfway through episode 8. OH MY GOOOODD her first experience sleep walking 🫣
Confession: midway through - I wanted more and more of those sleepwalk sessions, it was sooo fun to watch. The fluffiest and warm lovestory i have seen in a longtime. FL is super-cute.
WoW this is a good watch, so funny - slow burn and AMAZING FL and ML. Zhao Luci is an incredible actress, i never believed the hype, I saw Love’s Ambition and was drawn to her, so tried to checked this out, my god soooo good, severely underrated drama for international audiences, If you saw Love’s Ambition then came here you wouldn’t believe the same person acted in these two completely different set dramas, this is the highest level of compliment i can give an actress - she completely immersed me in both the worlds. What a great series. I am so sad it ended, rewatching rightaway from ep1.
7.7 now on the rise as soon as possible stop listening to the nonsense this will keep rising
I said the same, this should atleast be 8.5 due to great acting from Suzy and Kim Woo Bin. I really renjoyed it, on second watch. Dubai cinematography was beautifully done. Makes me go travel there again. My personal score is 9, that's just becaz I'm in love with Suzy.
you idiot, Just Shut up.No muslim can ever accept that there is drama which mimic Holy Islamic personalities into…
Making a lot of assumptions are we ? 1. So that's the way to strike up a dispute with another muslim/non-muslim ? "you idiot, Just Shut up." - Good to know. :) 2. "They clearly cities Adam AS and Iblis story here" - ohh the ignorance is killing me, tell us honestly my guy did you just looked up google and started ur internet warrior mode ? It's the story in "Adam AS and Iblis story here" - really, you brought in Adam AS as well when there is no single mention of him - that's how learned you are that you don't know the difference between ADAM AS and AZRAEL AS ? You thought they were same ?
3. Rich coming from you with that kind of confusion saying someone else did not read Quran... I'm sure my comments went over your head. Does it look like a man of faith is interested in what you think of them ? big lol at you.
Lastly you have so much respect for the four but then using 'Izrael' as a comment posting tag ? .... I'll just leave u with ur own hypocricy.
What do you mean that iblish and ajrail are fictional characters. Are you even a Muslim
Yes, in this drama they are.
Just like in the movie Constantine (2005) based on comics the character 'Lucifer' is depicted from a certain perspective (fictional narrative and should be treated only as fiction - comics) - here the characters you mention are just that - a depiction of fictional characters in a fictional narrative. Just like in that comic names are drawn from the 3 abrahamic religions here the writers did a superb job of doing their research, they did not IN MY HUMBLE opinion say/do/directly discredit anyone's belief, they simply presented a Kdrama story set in dubai/arabic background. They did a far better job than disney if you ask me.
Yes I am, are you ? Why are you so worked-up if you faith was strong to begin with ? just some writers fiction got you good ? You are that fickle ?
You also seem to not notice the pronounciation they used - it's 'Ejlael' ( a pronounciation more close to judaism/hebrew than in Arabic-Islam).
"What do you mean that iblish and ajrail are fictional characters." - I MEAN EXACTLY what i said - fictional characters in this drama set in dubai/arab background. the character 'Ejlael' in Genie make a wish - has nothing to do with your faith in Archangel Azrael. and as for Iblish they depict him as Lee-buli. I think if you were better educated in ISLAM and actually traveled a few countries you'd probably get it. If you can't - that's alright too, you believe what you believe - that's not doing good or bad to anyone watching a drama. People will watch if they find something interesting.
I am so so sad that this is getting hate because of some non-sense. First of all - I’m muslim, i read a few comments (well, lots of comments how the show is offensive) - I somehow went into the show looking very negatively at it from impressions I had reading comments.
To my utter surprise - I found the depiction of characters VERY INTERESTING, the writers of the show should be lauded, they took a chance in telling a story from a different perspective, A FICTIONAL PERSPECTIVE - what is wrong with you guys ? I almost lost my mind reading the comments and almost didn’t watch it. Star-power brought me in and I am so thankful for once i did not lose interest becaz of negative comments.
Suzy is amazing in this, all the actors are cool, very good. I wish Song-Hye-Kyo was in more episodes, she was gorgeous in this.
This is a good drama, a very good one - look, I’m coming from watching Alchemy of Souls 1st and 2nd season back to back, let me tell you that was some HIGH BAR set there, so coming from that to this show - I should be disappointed, but i’m not. This is a fun and good show with lots of side-quests. I loved it. Will review after i finish last episode today.
Muslims out there - go watch it, nothing is wrong in the show. It’s a KDRAMA with FICTIONAL CHARACTERS, no need to try to correlate to characters from our faith to a fictionalized version of some characters.
