I don't understand a men who know he will die eventually how can he make a women fall in love with him that's…
Every people has a responsibility in their life some have small some have big but it doesn't mean your responsibility is nothing. Ffy had a engagement with him but he didn't loved her but I have always seen you claim he did injustice abandoned ffy, did it really matter??? you judged all character with small actions but when it come to Jing you are unwilling what Tushan hou and ffy did to him it doesn't matter to some of people like you but you guys became upset why he isnt willing to take responsibility of ffy why he married ffy and you guys even claim Tushan hous child is Tushan Jings .

Xiang Liu who chose his battlefield from where he can't scape but Jing was fighting a war inside his own home where his enemies were the people he was raised to love and protect.

Xl loyalty to a dying cause is seen as noble duty but Jing’s attempt to fix his clan’s corruption from the inside is seen as caring about reputation. Jing actually wanted to dismantle the very system that trapped him so he could be with Xiao Yao freely.

At the end Jing’s disappearance? is it really matter his brother hated him from his bone but he makes his brothers son Tushan clans chief. In the end it was about finally choosing the life he was promised. He spent centuries doing what others expected of him. Choosing Xiaoyao after fulfilling his debt to his clan isn't abandonment it's finally living.

I was same like you. I watched every character and I liked every character but just for xl fans hate toward Jing…
Did I ever replied to your comment? and I just answered to this is it unusual to like both of them I just give my opinion why I can't like xl anymore but will it affect on anyones choice. if you find my words confusing you shouldn't bother yourself with this.

I'm not blaming you I don't find it serious issue you're getting threat just for a giving your opinion about a character isn't you're saying something extra. I m Wondering how a people like you make people so frustrated that they're giving you threat.!!

I totally agree with you he's my favorite character and now my favorite actor he's such green flag. but there…
Yeah I loved his character so much, Jing is my favorite one. Of course every character has flaw the do wrong but you can't hold on into one and give pass to others it's ridiculous.

If you're seeing flaw in Jing why you don't see it in other characters.

In my opinion sometime it's not about bad boy character or good boy character but in Chinese entertainment there is a problem, So many actors fan are so toxic I couldn't even imagine and I wonder how fans become so toxic in these industry!!

It’s important to remember that not everyone has read the original novel. Many fans only know these characters through the drama which was a massive production. I’m simply sharing my opinion as a fan there’s no need for anyone to take it so personally.

At the end of the day it’s just an opinion and everyone is free to love whichever character they resonate with most.
While I initially liked all the characters I’ve found it difficult to like xl anymore not fr my personal reason one reason I have said, strictly because of how toxic some fans have become. It’s frustrating that whenever someone says something positive about Jing most of time it turns out everytime Jing fans are blind they don't see anything they just do war bla bla but they don't find any single mistake into xl huh!

As for the "threats" honestly, it’s a bit ridiculous. The idea that a simple comment about a fictional character could provoke a threat is almost funny. I have to wonder how much powerful is your comment and how much are they provoking that people are giving threats. I feel bad for you.:)

There is a massive difference between intent to hurt and intent to fulfill an obligation. Jing didn't marry Ffy i because he wanted to he did it because he was trapped in this. if he were selfish enough to just abandon his responsibilities he wouldn't be the man Xiaoyao fell for in the first place.

And working with fan huh by this do you mean Jing fan is always wrong and all fans are right!

Yeah I wasn't here but I have seen enough in one year after watching LYF. In the beginning when the show has aired there wasn't any clue who will be the end game than how you claim that.

And I had absolutely no idea that people get dragged and pulled like this in the chinese entertainment industry I get to know them by LYF drama by xianglius fan. As a drama lover I didn't hated any character but the toxicity toward Jing I can't like him anymore thats what I said:)

It’s interesting how so many people are quick to tear apart Tushan Jing calling him weak, passive, or cowardly but stay completely silent when it comes to the serious flaws of the other characters.

Xiang Liu – A Harmful Lover

Xiang Liu is a complex character cold exterior, deep emotions, and a love that he could never fully express. But romanticizing him too much often ignores the very real emotional damage he inflicted on Xiaoyao.

1. Push-Pull Emotional Dynamic
Xiang Liu loved Xiaoyao, but he constantly sent her mixed signals saving her, protecting her, then pushing her away coldly cowardly. This created an unhealthy attachment where Xiaoyao was stuck in confusion and longing, always unsure of his intentions.

2. Refused to Give Her a Future
He knew he was dying and never tried to give Xiaoyao a real chance at a future with him. He chose to love from the shadows, never allowing her to make her own decision. That's not nobility, it's control wrapped in sacrifice.

3. Emotional With holding as a Weapon
He made Xiaoyao feel deeply, but never gave her stability. While he claimed to protect her, he also let her suffer emotionally. There were moments where a single word from him could’ve changed everything but he stayed silent.

4. Always in Disguise, Never Truly Present
As Fangfeng Bei, he flirted and gave hope. As Xiang Liu, he shut her out. This dual identity was emotionally manipulative. Whether intentional or not, it created a kind of emotional entrapment for Xiaoya tied to someone who would never stay.

Cang Xuan – The Ambitious Brother Who Always Chose Power

Cang Xuan’s love for Xiaoyao was real but so was his self-interest, his ambition, and his constant need to control. His flaws often get brushed aside with “he did it for the throne,” but the emotional cost to Xiaoyao was immense.

1. Used Xiaoyao as a Tool
Repeatedly, he placed politics over her well-being. From forcing her into public appearances to using her connections and status to support his own rise he treated her like an asset, not a sister or someome he loved deeply.

2. Jealous Possessiveness
He didn't want Xiaoyao to love anyone else not Jing, not Xiang Liu. But he didn’t want her for himself either (romantically). He wanted to own her loyalty, while refusing to give her the freedom to choose her own path.

3. Emotional Guilt-Tripping
Cang Xuan often used guilt "I’m your only family" or "do this for me" to manipulate her. He assumed she owed him loyalty because of their shared past, ignoring the fact that she also suffered because of him.

4. Never Protected Her When It Counted
When Xiaoyao was suffering most (being disfigured, poisoned, emotionally unstable), he was focused on alliances and survival. His protective gestures came late, and often after Jing or others had already stepped in.

Feng Long only saw Xiaoyao as a political match. His respect was surface-level, he never once understood or supported her emotionally. That was about status, not love.

Even Xiaoyao had her moments of selfishness brushing off Jing’s pain, emotionally distancing herself, and refusing to acknowledge her own feelings until it was almost too late.

So why is Jing the only one held to an impossible standard?

He was gentle, loyal, and consistent in a world full of manipulation, war, and broken promises. Did he make mistakes? Yes but he also fought quietly against a toxic family, risked his life to be with Xiaoyao, and always put her first even when it cost him everything.

Criticizing Jing while excusing everyone else isn’t analysis it’s bias.

Xiang Liu and Cang Xuan both loved Xiaoyao in their own way, but love without responsibility, consistency, or respect for her choices is not true love.

So when people harshly judge Tushan Jing who may be flawed, but always tried to be present and gentle, it’s important to ask
Why are the emotionally unavailable, power-hungry, or self-sacrificing-but-controlling men given a free pass, while the one who stayed is picked apart? lol
