Yi Mu reminds me of Wang BoWen. His character Shu Nian from Irresistibe Love of 10 years ago is very similar to Shi Wen so sweet and sad. one of my biggest crushes
Honest question...is there no heat in any building anywhere in China? None of these people take their jackets…
Once, I'm been in China in January and it was freezing cold everywhere even in Guangzhou which is in the south. Some people told me that houses are heated only north of the Yangtze River, while in the south there is no heating. In hotels I could have an electric heater in my room but the common areas were cold.
I'm surprised by those who get upset about underage actors: almost all the BL actors are very young and the sexual background is always there, whether you see it or you sense it. Furthermore, they are actors who live in an environment where where very cute boys and adults of all kinds hang out day and night . Ultimately, I don't think a little sex is bad for a consenting 16 or 17 year old boy. I am much more shocked by the drinking these boys do, who get drunk every other day. The actors probably drink water or lemonade, but they set a very bad example for their audience.
I must say that I liked this series a lot. Of course it's not a masterpiece, if I want to see something really great I go elsewhere. Netflix is full of masterpieces. But as a BL I found it very nice, mostly because it's quite realistic. Watching it, I relived some moments of my life, for example, the preparations for my wedding. I got married two years ago and we too we were frightened and also with so many doubts, and the ceremony was not so different, even though we were in a Paris town hall and not in a bar and our kiss has been less passionate. And eventually ZeShu and LiGong are so cute together that I give them 10 even without being a fujoshi
It's true: the plot is confusing and the story is slow and boring, but luckily Son is there and with him the episodes end too soon and the next ones arrive too late. My vote is 10, just for introducing Son to me.
The first episode makes it clear that the series is something unusual. Instead of villas or high-class offices or campuses, here we are in a gloomy slum where two lonely boys juggle to survive relying only on the love that binds them. They are willing to do anything to help each other. We can already see that it is a hard and sad story, to be watched for sure.
I was already hit by the lipstick commercial and now he's done this masterpiece. So good! I hope to see him again, although with his high profile education he could do something else in the future
I'm just watching ep. 9 and so far his character is quite hateful. However he's really a good actor, I think it's more difficult to play a hateful character than a cute one. And then I saw on his IG of that he' s gay (or so it seems) and he's dating an ordinary guy (not a star) older than him. I really like him, as an actor and also as a person.
It's not the most beautiful and best-built series I've ever seen, rather, it's not really. But it still has a certain charm, and the two couples (maybe three soon) are quite intriguing. I believe it is worth watching, despite everything, if only to encourage those who made it and the actors who still deserve a reward for their commitment.
I often wonder what happens behind the cameras of the shows I watch and this (and Lovely Writer too) makes us see or at least guess. I like the director: Present Perfect is a masterpiece (a little less Present still Perfect) and perhaps this show is his little revenge against an environment that has abused him. Definitely a must see.
Maybe it's not the best series of the year, but it's nice, sweet, carefree. Maybe the school is the gayest one in the world, with students just busy on flirting. But it's nice to dream of a school like this. Phrab and Chol are cute and sweet, and their acting is heartfelt, but maybe Chol is a little too childish to go from hugging the teddy bear to kissing his stepbrother. The relationship between the student and the teacher is also a bit shocking, usually it's the student who falls for the teacher, when the opposite happens it' s something that goes very far and in such a carefree storyline it's a bit out of place. Apart from all that, the series is enjoyable and I can't wait for this Friday to see that everyone will be happy. I just hope the twins will also be among the happy ones.
The two brothers are lovely characters, and wonderfoul actors, and their story is intriguing with some sweet moving moments. Side characters are less interesting, some a little bit annoying, like the obsessive seniors / teachers
