On Scarlet Heart Feb 1, 2024
I didn't even watch episode 29 because I'm already nervous about Ruoxi, and how unwise she is. She knows what situation the emperor is in, that the 8th prince is his enemy, and she still wants to take care of everything. In my opinion, she does not love the emperor and destroys herself. I also saw the Korean adaptation, which was much more emotional than the Chinese one, but IU was even more stupid and naive than Ruoxi.
On An Oriental Odyssey Dec 13, 2023
I'm watching episode 39 and Yuan An is getting worse, I hate her. She is a selfish, egotistical person who loves only herself, is cocky, and makes problems that others have to solve, as Princess Ming Hui told her. I hope she doesn't end up with Prince Ying/Mu Le, whom she doesn't deserve. Zhen Zhen is much better and more faithful. Zhao Lan Zhi is stupid because Ming Hui is a more suitable partner for him than Yuan An. I was surprised by Empress of Tang because she wanted to dominate the whole world with the help of Divine Beads, but she was very smart and beautiful. The most likable is Monk Tianshu. I wonder who this white mighty spirit is.

I don't know how bad others said it is, but it's horrible because the writing is horrible, from the point of view…
You're right that the character development wasn't significant or non-existent, but I looked at the drama as a fairy tale. It was relaxing for me because the actors were nice and I didn't get tired of the story.

I agree with you. They are a very beautiful couple. Just watching them is a great aesthetic experience. Just waiting for the next episode is frustrating.

Xiao Feng is fine with being a crown princess, she just can’t bear Li Chengyin’s “love” (a lot of it ends…
It wasn't until later that I noticed that there was a Goodbye My Princess: Director's Cut, where reviewers write that then we will better understand Li Chengyin and not condemn him as much. I watched the reviewers recommend episodes 1 and 2 and the last three. That is why I have expressed my opinion. Xiao Feng was playful and straightforward, freely riding a horse wherever she wanted. Even in the palace after the wedding, she still secretly ran somewhere outside. Strict rules and etiquette were not for her. Moreover, the struggle for power and intrigue were alien to her, so I wrote that she was not suitable as a crown princess. If Li Chengyin hadn't pretended, they would have both been killed.

Title Good Bye, My Princess Spoiler
I started watching this series because it had a very positive audience response. It's a truly heartbreaking drama. Xiao Feng was unlucky because only Grandpa Khan, General Pei Zhao, Yongniang, and the unfortunate Cheng Yin loved her. She was understood very well by the Empress Dowager. Others dealt with their selfish interests through it. A Du was a warrior, but stupid and egotistical, she did not understand the whole picture of the world at all. Gu Jian lied to her and exploited Xiao's memory loss; he was just a jealous man. Xiao Feng was unable to cope with the role of the crown princess because she was very naïve and gullible. Xiao also saw only herself and did not understand that Cheng Yin had a very difficult situation. If I understood correctly, I guess he was just sleeping with the concubine Zhao Se Se because she didn't get pregnant, or was he using contraception? Even in the end, it was obvious that Cheng Yin had no children when he handed over the throne to his brother's son. There were many interesting characters with tragic fates in the drama, but I will not elaborate in more detail. It was a very interesting story, with traditionally magnificent costumes, scenery, and excellent acting performances.

This series is not as bad as Critical Voices writes. It is certainly not an absolute top, but I liked the drama. It was a nice fairy tale. The cast was good, and the actors were nice. Guo Junchen’s resemblance to Korean actor Lee Joon Gi has added an extra layer of appreciation for me. Yi Er was the best choice as the Empress of Heaven. I secretly hoped that Mu Nan would come to life and would be happy with Yi Er, but it didn't happen. The hatching of the baby’s egg into a beautiful phoenix sounds like a magical moment. It’s unfortunate that we don’t know what happened to the parents or if they saw their offspring. Chinese dramas are known for their attention to detail when it comes to natural scenery, costumes, and camera work. They often create visually stunning worlds that transport viewers into the story.

And her lying without ANY form of remorse ... even using her own bitemarks to lie to an abused child "I was abused…
She may want to get a throne, but evil is how she wants to get it. She has no scruples; she is a beast. Very nice was to see the difference in her conversation with Lord Ding when she came to murder him in prison in the EP. 37 or 38?

I totally agree with you. Every form of abuse is absolutely unacceptable, especially in children. If I have witnessed such action, I would help the affected person against the attacker because I have morality and conscience. Unfortunately, some people are able to use any resources in the fight for power and various benefits. In my opinion, they are mentally disturbed individuals and, according to statistics, mental illnesses are in second place. I am very sorry that you have such a bad experience and you have my full support and understanding. Today, Viki and WetTV should publish episodes 35 and 36, so I'm wondering if Roujia will get the grandfather's sword and what will happen.

Title The Legend of Zhuohua Spoiler
I just finished episode 34 and I am waiting for the sequel that will be in two days. A few episodes crawled on my nerves the interactions between Zhuohua and Lord Ding, fortunately, she realized who she was losing when he was dying. Princess Roujia reminds me of the devil from the novel Gustave Flaubert "The Temptation of Saint Anthony." The woman is a mental cripple and she has absolutely perverse thinking. She is abusing all the people whom she helped, and eventually, she will kill them especially those who love her. I wonder how Shen Yinghong will turn out, whether his morality and conscience will win because he has already realized how terrible personality is Roujia. I really like Princess Yemu Zen, who also has good observations about Roujia. The story is excellent and exciting.

Excellent drama, I was intrigued from the beginning. The theme is great, the story is packed with events and the actors are great. There are no dazzling beauties, but every character is thoughtful. I really like the emphasis on education, I feel like a fish in the water because so far, all characters are intelligent and progress in their actions sophisticatedly. Zhuo Hua has brilliant logic and can be excellent at solving every mystery. So far, I am looking at episode 7 and I look forward to continuing.

I completely agree. I also read all the available comments when I want to watch a drama and the more diverse the opinions are, the better I can get a picture and compare. Scarlet Heart is known to have had much more success abroad than in Korea. People wrote petitions (me included) to make a sequel. Lee J. Gi, IU, and other actors were willing to accept the roles, but it was deadlocked. I thought for a long time and in my opinion the biggest villain was Wang Wook, he took revenge on Hae Soo in a very sophisticated and insidious way. He was worse than his sister, it was clear from the beginning that she was a viper. I haven't seen the Chinese adaptation. I'll admit that I think Korean production is stagnant, that's why I prefer Chinese dramas now. There is a lot of wisdom, life philosophy and mythology, original Chinese tradition and morality in them, very pleasant and handsome actors, wonderful sets, costumes, and especially work with energy, which is my hobby. I am very curious if XY will be unblocked and under what circumstances. I haven't read the novel, so I don't know if the script will be rigorous or if there will be new moments and ideas.

No problem, not every drama will be for everyone. Though I think you might be the first I've seen to call this…
I thank everyone who responded to my comment for understanding me and giving good advice. So that you have an idea of what my taste is, I will list at least a few dramas, because I have seen all of them, which are available. I subscribe to three programs (Netflix, Rakuten Viki and MeTV) because in my region there is not much Asian production, although it has a lot of followers and fans. No1 for me is Empress Ki, then "Saimdang, Light's Diary, " Queen in Hyun's Man, Mr. Queen, Six Flying Dragons, Warrior Baek Dong Soo, Arthdal Chronicles, A Tree with Deep Roots, Our Blooming Youth, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, Scholar Who Walks the Night, Gunman in Joseon, Hwarang, Alchemy of Soul, Live Up to Your Name, My Only Love Song, Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Flower Crew, The King's Affection, The Great Queen Seon Deok, etc. I have studied all of Korean history because I verify historical facts.

I'm thrilled, at how perfectly you captured the main characters. I completely agree with you. I also enjoyed the comparison of Cang Xuan to Wang So. Unfortunately, Hae-Soo was primitive and naive compared to Xiao Yao, even though they shared a similar fate because the man they loved married another woman. Hae-Soo had visions that she misinterpreted, causing a lot of trouble, especially for herself. I loved this drama and watched it 6 times :-D I often got the impression that Cang Xuan loves Xiao Yao more than just a cousin.
On Lost You Forever Aug 27, 2023
Excellent drama in all aspects. From the first episode, I was captivated by the wonderful plot, script, and acting. Each character was cleverly developed, and I found no flaws. Yang Zi is very pleasant to look at, she evokes positive emotions in the viewer. Xiao Yao / Wen Xiao Liu is probably the daughter of the hated Chi Yun, which is why her powers are blocked. I'll be eagerly waiting for S2.

Chong Zi is trash sis
You're right. I guess I was tired when I said Chong Zi. But I liked the actors, and the theme was interesting. The struggle for power, hatred, anger, all this is now happening in the region in which I live, so probably that's why I mentioned this drama. I have seen a lot of dramas and I consider the Korean historical drama "Empress Ki" to be the peak of film art, that was, in my taste and demands for quality in all aspects.
