If you are a costume drama fan, you will adore this series. I am not a costume drama fan at all (Bon Appetite, Your Majesty is my one concession) and fast forwarded through a lot, maybe most, of the palace intrigue and fighting. Still, I loved the love story and am happy I got to watch it. If I were a costume fan, I'd definitely give this a 9 or 10.
I think that singer character is the most delusional of all
I know, right? I get him yearning for the ML , we love who we love, but to actively dislike the FL when there is a far greater possibility of humans actually hearing flowers bloom than there is of the ML having any interest in him was insane.
People are trying to discourage Koreans from producing romantic comedies, but they're overlooking the fact that…
In some Chinese dramas characters will often mention Korean dramas, like "don't try to turn this situation into a Kdrama" sort of thing, which cracks me up. I really like how in both C and K dramas they often mention dramas. They are just like us! LOL
This show literally has my blood pressure rising. I am so happy it started and gives me something to look forward to before Typhoon Family episodes. And I pray he realizes her "marriage" is fake early on and the pursuit begins in full force.
I wish people wouldn't be so scared of using their brains. But I understand, it's a muscle at the end of the day…
Exhausting, isn't it? People are expecting a series that is set in the 1990s to reflect today's culture/values.
Also, I love romance/idol dramas to death but can also appreciate Typhoon Family for what it is. To me, the bits of romance sprinkled in have been perfection. His confessions? When he first saw her in that dress? I could feel his heart beating, for goodness sake. I wish there were many more episodes than 16, but look forward to rewatching this brilliant series when it ends.
I aalmost wish the Ex found out that he's been their biggest cupid all along - not just even once but so many…
He probably did AND that our hero is rich, rich, rich and not the poor, pitiful TCM doctor he ridiculed him to be, I'm hoping he learned it all through their uni alumni network, lol.
YALL I'VE NEVER FELT THIS MUCH BUTTERFLIES IN MY STOMACH. How can I wait another week for the next episode?
I know!!!! When Tae Poong saw Mi Seon all dressed up, I could feel his heart beating!!! It is so lovely to hear him say so many sweet things to her without trying to overpower her with his feelings. He's like, it is what it is. Can't wait to see him give her one of those fabulous King the Land kisses.
It is also wonderful to see his mum stepping up and caring for Mi Seon's family. I especially love the way she is with the little boy and now has won over the sister. She has come such a long way and I do hope she kept her ring. It was nice, though, to see her and others feeling sad for the people who are suffering so much during this economic crisis.
I agree it's frustrating to not see Tae Poong go harder on Ma Jin, but as others here have pointed out we must take into consideration the culture during that period in history and the fact that the asshole is his elder and more experienced in the field. That said, I'm so glad he got arrested and is going to have to suffer a bit because our girl told him so, and I hope she gets at least one dig in when he's eventually freed. Like, I may not know a lot about sales yet, but I knew not to do that stupid shit, MFer!!!
This series is so good. I can't wait to binge it in the 15 hours before the final episode airs.
Finally, can I say how much I love Lee Jun Ho? I want to see him in a million modern, romantic, slice of life dramas.
finally finished it i'm sad even though it was a happy ending cuz i will miss my "close your eyes & I…
Watching them get so attached to each other and then not being able to live without each other was so good. Loved how when the mum said. "Well what if I never approve?" he was, like, then I will stay single for the rest of my life and make her do the same. Also when dealing with her parents, he said they should make a baby] because that sure AF would shut them up], lol.
I admire your strength.
I also very much hope that the FL's sister will end up being a left-behind lady because what she did to our leading lady and their mum was just foul.
