I do, too. I think he liked her a lot from the beginning and as his feelings for her unexpectedly intensified…
I know exactly what you mean. A lot of viewers expected him to behave like a fully grown man when he was still quite young in his very early 20s and experiencing a deep first love. It was the same thing with the ML in Our Generation.
First of all, let me say I appreciate your honest opinion. I have drama buddies who did not like JQX because of…
The First Frost was my first Chinese drama. Fell in love with it and felt it in my bones for weeks after. Also it was the beginning of an addiction watching these Asian romance dramas since April. I barely watch anything else, now.
Will update my list, but love, love, loved Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, My Fated Boy, Love is Sweet, Sunshine of My Life, anything modern with Miles Wei, The Best Thing, Meeting You, Do You Like Brahms, Nevertheless, The Forbidden Flower, Love Me Love My Voice, Fake it till you make it, Her Private Life (Ryan Gold!!!), Princess and Lighter, Dating in the Kitchen, You are My Glory, One Spring Night, Forever and Ever, are just some examples. I prefer modern romances with happy endings. I couldn't live after watching The Forbidden Flower if I hadn't gone for the alternative ending, lol.
None of my friends watch these dramas and thought I was crazy when I told them what we were all up to during OG's drop. I have a friend now watching Her Private Life and have vowed to get her addicted, too.

I so agree and hate it when people call him selfish or a jerk. Imagine going through all of the terrible things he had at that age. So glad our girl hung in there!!!
In finale, when he was talking to the dog about how to love their future baby, I died. "And if the baby is a girl who takes after her mother and wants to chase boys..."
I liked this series, but the final episode had way too much of other people, so I'm a bit miffed. Wish there could have been more romance.
I am loving the series but not feeling the "deep affectionate" eyes. The lead here is handsome and sexy,…
I know, right? I think they invented that expression about making a girl's panties drop based on something like this. When they were standing outside of the billiards place when he was playing with the lighter and looking her so intensely, then asked "Can I hug you?" I almost fainted. Or the time when he set aside his pride and went to watch a match for the first time in 10 years, FOR HER, when he looked around the room to find her and then saw her? Oh, my! And the refrigerator scene when his ears turned bright red? Sigh.
I need him to do another modern romance very, very soon.
One of the things I love most about this drama is how Meng pursued and fell in love with and accepted Jin Yu as she found him when he was kind of pitiful and was thought to be poor. Turns out he's extremely smart and extremely well off.
I've seen some complaints about too much filler in episodes, but I haven't minded it because these people are very entertaining and funny, especially his grandma.
the wedding is really beautiful, couldn't stop smiling and I had tears eyes. they spend almost half the episode…
Agree that the wedding was lovely and so much fun. Also love that they did a traditional and western ceremony. I laughed and teared up like I know these people, lol.
Any idea what the first song was that played at the start of the western ceremony?
Doesn't the female lead feel like a coquette? I mean the traditional meaning of a coquette the one who plays push…
I am loving the series but not feeling the "deep affectionate" eyes. The lead here is handsome and sexy, but those eyes do not match Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, for example.
Honestly a masterpiece. An amazing melodrama fitting the title. No BS melodrama though. No triangle relationships.…
This series was really lovely. Part of the final episode broke my heart, though, and I cried when Gyeom was talking with Jun and said, "Visit me in my dreams. Let's hang out.." And I love how it ended with him passed out from drinking the brother's scotch and smoking a stale cigarette to Mubee at the bus stop with an opening sigh followed by him handing her an ear of corn.
That whole scene did me in. The music is also really good and sweet. The one thing that kind of bothered me was that she didn't pay enough attention to him after the brother died. Like, how long did it take for her to see he was having difficulty going into and sleeping in the house? Even second male lead knew that and was bringing "survivor supplies."
Decided to give this a go whilst waiting for the big budget releases and I'm pleasantly surprised?!The banter…
I agree. Some people think she's being too aggressive, but I think she's trying to help him be more upbeat because of his depression, which she's familiar with because of her mum and Dr. Yang's lectures.
I love that she flew back to the city she fled to check on him post surgery. And when he looked at her and said "It hurts," my heart melted. And those kisses in episode 8? More than we get sometimes in an entire series.
I'm having fun with this one, especially after such an intense week of Our Generation.

Are you watching anything good now? I just finished Deep Affectionate Eyes and need something new.
I really loved Our Generation. I am waiting for a cool, rainy day to take to me bed and do a rewatch binge.
It also was so fun being up in the wee hours chatting with you guys while discussing and waiting for episodes to drop.

Enjoyed this series, but it was seriously melo.
I am having so much fun with this series. I know there's angst to come, but as long as they keep the love alive, I'm okay!
