His first acting? I'm shocked! He's not bad at all. ALso, his voice is SO SEXY! I absolutely adore it.

Really good historical drama, I must admit I was already very interested in this time period prior to it. Younger,…
I've only watched 5 episodes so far and I must agree on the fact that the action/fighting scenes are not excellent per se. However, they do come out as rather exciting especially because of the plot and the characters (which, in my opinion -so far- have been drawn quite nicely).

I just started watching Three Kingdoms. I've been meaning to for a while. I've watched 3 episodes so far, but darn, I already like it! It seems to be an amazing war drama.

I loved this j-rom-com. <3 I do love romance centred dramas, but I hate it when they get too melodramatic and there are too many manipulative characters that make the atmosphere feel very heavy. But this piece was perfect for my tastes: it was light hearted and there were no stupid misunderstandings or boring melodrama. It's so very amusing too! I laughed a lot (I laughed while watching each and every episode, that is). Highly recommend.

Perfect slice of life drama. The scenery was a treat. Really liked the opening song too! 'ah, oro oro' 'oro oro…
it's ”ore ore”, a very masculine way of saying ”I”. I loved it too!!!

I got interested in this drama because Maki Yoko is starring in it, and I was in for a great surprise. I've only watched 2 episodes so far, but I love it already.

Title Saikou no Rikon Spoiler
Great drama except it's extremely one sided. Hamasaki's flaws were overblown while Yuka's flaws were only slightly…
I sort of had the opposite impression at first. I tended to feel sorry for Hamasaki, as Yuka's behaviour drove me crazy and I thought she could at least try and put some effort in. Afterwards, however, I started to understand that they both had their faults and that seemed to be well drawn at some point. I would have to agree, however, that there comes a time when the story concentrates too much on Hamasaki's weirdness. I didn't think of it as being extremely one sided, as I somehow felt that the others' faults were portrayed as well (though not equally). I think I might have decided to believe that Hamasaki's role as protagonist was ”way more” protagonist that the others' (let's say that they chose to concentrate mostly on this peculiar fellow). Anyway, great drama!

PS: I don't think the real problem lied with Yuka or whomever; I believe they both had their faults, which I believe goes for the other couple as well (whilst we might be tempted to say that Ryo was at fault and Akari was a victim, I think they both had their faults too.)

Title Hotaru no Hikari Spoiler
I enjoyed this drama very much. I have seriously started watching Japanese dramas a week ago or so, and after finishing Buzzer Beat, and watching some episodes from Pride, I bumped into Hotaru no Hikari... I know the series is based on the manga, or I think it is, but I haven't read the manga. I somehow found the drama amusing enough, and entertaining enough, so the need of checking out the manga has yet to appear. Given the fact that one of the most recent series I've watched is Last Cinderella, I kept calling Fujiki Naohito 'Tachibana-kun' -hahaha! I like this actor very much; he's not only handsome, but he also has a way of his own that makes one really like him. I like his character very much! I've laughed a lot throughout the series, both because of pseudo-Tachibana-kun (hihihi) and because of Hotaru's both style of life and character. I like characters such as Hotaru, perhaps because I am also the type to laze around the house in "jerseys" and such. I appreciated her honesty above all: her wanting to be accepted the way she is. I find that more admiring and interesting than trying to change something that cannot be changed. I admired Hotaru's character. I found the series very interesting and funny, over all. It's certainly worth watching.
And I so loved the last episode, even though it wasn't enough for me (I wished they would have kissed!!!) I am looking forward to see what will happen in second season, which I am planning to start watching tomorrow. Ahomiya and buchou would make a very nice couple!
I didn't like Teshima very much -not Teshima himself, but I felt the actor hadn't given his all potential, or something of the sort. I wouldn't call it poor acting, but I didn't feel as if he truly took part in the series. I found his character cold, and not so well refined. On the other hand, perhaps his role was supposed to be like this. I like Hotaru a lot, and I am glad she's come to understand her feelings towards buchou (or... has she?)
ps: though her sleeping covered by newspapers is a little shocking! even for me! hehe!

she call herself ahomiya. hahaha
I laughed a lot when she called herself Ahomiya! It was really funny. I'm glad to see other people found it amusing as well.
