Nirvana for paranormal romance lovers! And we have enemies to lovers at that!
Never been a fan of Uncontrollably Fond, but the chemistry between the two was undeniable. So, I was super excited when they announced another collaboration.
Ep 1:
--------
"In all those years, your hair grew so long, but I guess your beard didn't!" - Ki Ga Yeong (Lol.)
Not them cosplaying superman and Lois as they fly through Dubai. They did a pretty good job. This was so damn enjoyable. The only thing that bothered me was his garb when he got run over by a bike, he looked less like a genie and more like a youtube prankster who pretend to be female ghosts to prank people.
Ep 2:
--------
"Can I try to kill you before you kill me? Let's see who's the better killer." -Ki Ga Yeong
In this round of Genie vs Psychopath, both have 1 points each. Oh, I forgot, that is one broke Genie stealing chump change from elderly women. Then we have our Psychopath betting five lives on one wish.
Ep 3:
--------
"I have no emotions. But as much as I can, I Like you..." -Ki Ga Yeong
Right after saying that she looks at him as if she is ready to push him off the roof again, but no that's her expectant look. She was just waiting for him to kiss her. And that was such a beautiful one to watch.
Ep 4:
--------
"Let's kiss." -Ki Ga Yeong
Girl's had a first taste and keeps wanting more. Well no one can blame her, it's Kim Woo Bin as Genie. It is just fun watching him skedaddle whenever she comes after him for a kiss. The best part was her hacking into the satellite to just to save the video of them kissing!
Ep 5:
--------
"I grant your wishes, but I can also be quite Awful." - Genie.
Yup, every lamp should come with this warning label. Because apart from Alladin, most of the Genie stories I have seen have been horrific.
Ep 6:
--------
"I have chosen a face that will be desirable for the next thousand years." - Genie.
You don't say sir. Based on the first 5 eps, it seemed like they would stick to a light-hearted tone and for once there not being any dire consequences of the wishes. But there we go, reminding us again of the butterfly effect that we have chosen to believe in.
Ep 7 to Ep 13
-------------------
> The serial killer is finding out that his genie is a genie that has no qualms about screwing him over.
> I do love the scenes where he has nothing to say whenever she gets jealous about his ex.
> I do feel that it could have been more emotionally charged but I still enjoyed every part of the drama.
> Not a fan of the story with the Khalid and his father.
> It started out quite well and ended well so a good one in my books.
> Finally a drama where they both get their happy ending and they are both good to each other.
