Well, if you're only interested in romance, then that explains it. I was hoping to see a bit more than just kisses.

I would have gladly done so, but the tags "political" and "historical" suggested there would be more than just kisses — I expected interesting plot twists, intrigue, smart characters, and epic battles, not just romance. Not to mention the siege scene, where the city gates didn’t even have a bar on the inside. And the moment when the FL had to choose side to run to — Wei Shao was standing in front of the soldiers, and then suddenly he was in the center, and those poor 2 meters she ran looked like at least 20 😅
If this were just a fluffy romance series, I wouldn't pay much attention to these things, but it's a full-fledged title with a decent budget

People had different preferences. If u don’t like, why watch and complain.
To understand whether you like a movie or not, you need to watch it, right? So what does your comment have to do with it? I pointed out the obvious flaws in the team's work that are hard to miss. Are we only allowed to comment if we’re praising the series? Are we not allowed to talk about its shortcomings?

Well, I mean, I do see the “romance” tag, but do some scenes really have to be shot this clumsily? For 8 episodes Wei Shao is prancing around like a cheerful little goat, and only after the scene where Man talks about his headaches do we finally get a moment where he sort of stretches his neck. Really?

The lid of the rice seed box almost fell off twice on its own, and the letter was lying right on top, in plain sight—yet of course no one saw it. The prince is supposed to be all clever and cunning, but apparently never checks his wife’s mail, huh.

The hunting scene—pure cringe. Did you see those rabbits? Couldn't they afford decent CGI?

The pillow with the “suggestive” pattern—of course. The maids chose to keep quiet and put their lady in an awkward position—loyalty, right?

And the general who spilled everything even though the prince told him five minutes earlier to keep his mouth shut—just, facepalm.

And the scenes where the female lead acts all childishly offended at the prince were so poorly acted. Same with the prince’s “decision” to come back to the bedroom.

Honestly, I was hoping this would be a solid historical-romance drama—maybe not overflowing with content, but at least well-written and coherent. So far, it’s the Liu Yuning fans keeping the ratings up—credit to them, really. But personally, I find the main couple’s relationship development very unclear, the fight scenes and animal effects are bad (I’ll remember that boar running back and forth for a long time), the female lead’s behavior lacks consistency, and the male lead isn’t any better.

I still hope it gets more interesting later on.

Don't worry i think they will find a way to blend the two personalities together. She lived as ran ran for a very…
I really hope so. Because in the teasers for episodes 35 and 36, Mu Qingge scolded Su Yishui for making her his disciple. So, I’m a bit disappointed by this turn of events.

Title Love of the Divine Tree Spoiler
I just watched the latest episodes. I really liked Su Yishui, who lost his memory in the context of his interactions with Su Yuy and that puppet master. But it was a shame for RanRan: just when things were getting good between them, and they understood each other, suddenly – she has to find her way back to the heart of the shyfu again. And he hurt her a few times (though his words were logical considering his state at the time).

But what really makes me sad is that, with the return of his memories, it seems that Mu Qingge’s personality will replace RanRan’s. I don’t understand why. I’ve been with RR throughout the entire series. She’s so sweet, sincere, and open. She didn’t have that "I know what's best for you" attitude. There was no arrogance or constant nagging at the shyfu. And now, it feels like a reset back to the beginning. I really don’t like this plot twist. And don’t tell me that Mu Qingge was the original personality. Because RR is no worse than her. She won Su Yishui over not with mockery and punishments, but with completely different qualities that Mu Qingge hardly ever used.

There is no "r" sound in Chinese. English is not my native language, my language sounds "Zhanzhan" (the "Zh" sound is used)

Today has been an incredible series full of events and emotional intensity.
The rescue of Su Yishui was beautifully done (we've seen these scenes in the opening, but in the movie, they truly tugged at the heart), the palace battles, and the underwater dragon scenes—everything was amazing.
I really liked Zhan Zhan's monologue when she openly said that she loves her mentor and won't leave him, even though he has someone else in his heart (well, later she found out that the "someone else" is actually her). It's rare in dramas to see such honest female characters who aren't overbearing at the same time.
Su Yishui, as always: sometimes a sweet kitten, sometimes a dragon. I love DW's acting. When you see his character on screen, you don’t see an actor playing, you see the real Su Yishui. Everyone's talked about DW's looks, but I want to highlight the work of the makeup artists—they deserve a huge credit. They highlighted everything that needed to be accentuated but didn’t overdo it.
Wei Zhuo is so silly and funny. How can someone be so blind? Dude, the girl came to you not to listen to your plans!

I really like both Mu Qingge and Zhan Zhan. But Mu Qingge has passed away, and her soul was reborn as Zhan Zhan. And hoping that Zhan Zhan will become an exact copy of the Master, I think, is unrealistic. Most likely, she will remain Zhan Zhan but with the memories of Mu Qingge and some of her habits (like the love for the color red, for example). But of course, I could be wrong. In any case, we definitely know that Zhan Zhan loves Su Yishuo, and how Qingge truly felt about him is still unknown.

LOL! I heard his fans call themselves "Diamond" XD
Diamonds is the official name of the actor's fan club, which he personally chose. At the IQIYI Night of Screams ceremony, he expressed his gratitude to his Diamonds for their support and belief in him. So, it wasn't the fans who named themselves, but rather the actor's gift to his admirers.

For the first question, the drama is still ongoing, so no answer for that yet. Who is the person Su Yishui having…
Thank you for the explanation. This is a good option for creating a couple of Su Yishui and Zhan Zhan. Because I believe that Mu Qingge's arc has already ended. And I really like Zhan Zhan, especially how Su Yishui reacts to her

Well, there is the novel. Perhaps there are people here who are aware of how everything ended in this context

Right now, I am most interested in two questions.
First: Which of the personalities will remain in the end: Mu Qingge? Zhan Zhan, or will someone third emerge from these two?
From the first question comes the second: In the past, we knew that Su Yishui loved Mu Qingge, but now, in episode 16, who does he have feelings for? Still Mu Qingge? Or Zhan Zhan?
After all, these two women, even though they share the same soul, are different in their behavior and character.

Who was talking about ratings on official streaming platforms? Until today, the rating on the international IQIYI platform was 9.8, but now it’s 9.7 (voted by 3.4k viewers). Not sure about the Chinese domain

I watched episodes 9 and 10.
The main characters are very cute. The ML is so charming, yet shy, and the student is sincere and straightforward (especially when she's tipsy). The transformation from a kitten to a tiger was amazing. The sneaky but caring Mentor is quite refreshing, especially when portrayed by Deng Wei. Zhan Zhan is so funny, but not silly — she quickly realized she was connected to the tree and is its fruit.
As for ratings: MDL is still an important indicator for the general audience. The higher the rating here, the more people around the world will see this wonderful story. And more people will go to buy VIP on official platforms (whether international or Chinese). So, it's not worth undervaluing this resource.
Thanks to those who mentioned the account verification and voting for individual episodes. Everyone, don't forget to rate the episodes as well.
